Dufty's issue is when returning the kick and also taking a hitup to help the forwards getting on a roll. His defence is also questionable, he really needs to work on his physical aspects.

DT reported Dragons management are having concerns about Haynes off field issues which have stalled talks
Andrew Webster reported on the BSB he spoke to Dragons management and there are no formal talks. Haynes manager apparently contacted them but we can’t meet his asking price so that was that. Hayne is not coming peoples and we should all be thankful for that.

Any suggestion Dufty is unable to ball play or create is simply wrong.

Dufty is a creative ball playing attacking full back.

Average to poor defender but a first class attacking threat.

Dufty is a good attacking fullback with loads of speed, good elusiveness, a good pass, good awareness to sniff out an opportunity and a great passing game. His problems are not in his attacking skills.

Dufty's problems are related to his defence, taking of high balls, returning the ball, positional play and his size.

Hayne can play fullback and centre at the top skill level if he desires to do so. Norman can play fullback and halfback at the top level if he desires to do so.

Dufty needs further development to be a complete solution to our fullback requirements. He can increase his skills in ISP or choose to leave and develop in first grade at another club. The trouble is that I doubt that any other NRL club would sign him at a walk up first grade fullback.

FMD.
You would dispose of our No1 attacking weapon who will still improve all aspects of his game for one or both of Parra’s unwanted?
And you bag Milward.
It’s going to be a long off season.

Dufty performs well against either middling or below average teams.

It’s the truth.

It’s funny to read suggestions that it would be interesting to see him at a team, such as Melbourne. Top line coaches such as Bellamy or Bennett wouldn’t have a bar of Dufty.

Dufty has skills but he's a run first player that lacks physicality with a tendency to run other players out of room at times.

I find it interesting that we talk about what a better coach would do with Dufty. If we look at a player like Aitken, McGregor plays him in first grade people say that a better coach would put him in reserve grade. McGregor has kept Dufty in first grade all year, how do we know that a better coach wouldn't drop him?

Dufty has plenty upside and he has only played one full year in 1st grade. Aitken has played what 3 years in first grade ? I.M.H.O a good coach would have improved Aitken's weaknesses over that 3 year period. (passing/Lateral defense )

Time will tell with Dufty....Personally don't think he is as bad as some make out...Is there room for improvement..Yes...as with most players...
