Mon morning talking to sports breakfast radio, he said there has been an offer from Dragons but he can't say anything more about it.

He said that Parra can't fit him in their cap, that he came back unexpectedly, and parras cap was already planned well in advance without his cost included.

But we will see.

I am very uncertain about him.
Unlikely he will ever regain past success. He is toxic in my opinion.

Left Parra, went to grid iron.
Left grid iron, went to Fiji rugby.
Left rugby went to titans.
Left titans, joined Parra.
.............
Could be his last chance saloon

I usually try to balance my view about a player by my reaction if he had signed with the Roosters or Sharks.....I would likely be envious.
Hayne can be a handful to coach and not the most co-operative team player according to public opinion but he is the most talented and complete footballer I have seen.
If Hayne announces he is signing with the Roosters, there would be howls of protests and salary cap complaints...
On the possibility that he puts in and performs even close to his ability, i hope the Dragons sign him.
Hayne on an off day is better than any of our current outside backs.
(Special mention to Lomax and Dufty who are still developing)

I agree with your post Max. I would take Hayne if I was coach and hope to get the best out of him. In saying that, if we could manage to sign others such as Joey Leilua and or Rapana, I would take them over Hayne.

I love Hayne.....hes meant to be a lovely chap now, hes matured a lot and everyone I know shows met him says the same.....hes a superstar not Dugan mk 2 Dugans not Haynes armpit hair stop that!
Id love to see him at centre Mcfroghead would have to be the least intelligent most stupid and worst coach if he didnt go hard for Hayne to whack him in Aitcants centre spot
If he does sign and im hoping he does! Id go a backline of :

Dufty
Pearson
Lomax
Hayne
Periera or Ravalawa ( I think Periera deserves to start but lets see)
Widdop
Hunt

I like the look of your team Possm, but I think it would have to be either Aitken or Robson on the bench, with either Lawrie or Host taking the last bench spot. I also would be concerned that Frizell may get pissed off about not being in the starting line up. I think he would be really good coming off the bench playing prop in that pack or even playing lock when Debelin is off the field. I would even consider starting with Frizell at prop and bringing Graham on off the bench. I fully expect Sims and Frizell to be our 2 starting second rowers next year.

I also like how you referred to number 5 as "The Fijian". Classic. lol

I am not stuck on the idea of Frizell coming off the bench. I know that Graham can't do long minutes anymore and I think it will be a choice between Graham and Frizell as to who stats. I'm thinking Graham and Vaughan can give it all his got in the opening bash and barge and then Frizell and K Sims comes on full steam ahead to destroy the opposition forwards.

I'm sorry but those attracted to the Hayne Plane only need to look at his play over the last few years. Maybe one good game out of every four? Usually at contract time and talk, albeit manager driven, of him wanting to play for Fiji in the World Cup does not bode well if things got anywhere near tough for him with us. No for me its not simply a matter of $$$, any signing of Hayne would, in all likelihood, mean the loss of either Lomax or Dufty given the 'ask for a release' environment we live in. I'm afraid even though in the best of all possible worlds it would be interesting to see him in a red and white jersey, he is too inconsistent and the Hayne team seems to be the only side he plays for, and quite frankly his golden years of 2008 - 2010 will be a decade ago by game one next year...... and it is showing.

Hayne is a huge risk but we are not the Roosters. If we want to win a premiership we need to take risks. Risks with juniors, risks with players other clubs don't want and then back our culture.

For mine, we play Hayne at 1 if we get him.

I hear what others have said, I am convinced Mary will play Atken at right centre but it should be and has to be Lomax. I like Mann starting on the left, either at left centre or left wing.

This would be my back five if we nabbed Hayne:

1. Hayne
2. Pearson
3. Lomax
4. Lafai, Mann- Lafai on notice that if he doesn't perform he is out and Mann moves to centre.
5. Mann, Periera or Ravalawa

If Hayne didn't go globe trotting he would have been a one team player. Granted, no as well off however, a true Parra champion and they would find space in there cap.

Now he's at the back end of his career and his options are limited. I wouldn't be after him unless it is in our favour but from pass behaviour can't see him being worth the price to the club environment.

During Hayne's peak he was one of the skilled and best players in NRL history. Obviously he's older now and past the peak, but he's shown he will play very well in the right environment.

Titans was absolutely not the right environment. Brought back on the biggest contract in history to a team with its own culture problems, and immediately placed under that pressure from the get go, it was never gonna work

2018 was so much better, half the pay and under the radar, so he flourished once given the chance

I believe if Hayne comes to the Dragons, it will be unlike any team he's played in before. He will not need to go back to the best player in the world again, because he won't be the only player carrying a whole team like he did at the Eels 2009-14 and 18. He'll be part of a unit who all put in.

As for the training reports, I am fairly certain they turned out to be bullshit, as many eels players quoted Hayne spraying them at training this year for their few good performances.
