Dragons chase Jarryd Hayne

Exactly OKB1 , they are stuffing the Dragons around and it would had been far better to give him or his agent a set date to decide - one way or the other . Sick of our mob being used to sweeten the pot for other players whom may never had any interest in coming South in the first place .

The 2019 season doesn't start till, what March? Don't quite see the rush actually. Lots of players suddenly without contracts since November 1. Actually think we're in the box seat. Millward and the club are playing their cards close to their chest I think. Lots of twists and turns yet to happen before a ball is kicked.

I think people here are getting understandably impatient, but no announcement means nothing in terms of whether Millward is slacking or Hayne is being greedy

For all we know, they have verbally agreed and it's onto working out finer details. For all we know he has signed already but they are waiting on the opportune press conference announcement.

Of course, for all we know talks have broken down too. But the point is there's no reason to rush an announcement

Should have a fair idea tomorrow, if what they are suggesting on the Eels forum that there will be an announcement of his resigning.

its just so stupid, take the 2 year deal and if youre still performing in 2 years time youll get another contract

In two years time, he'can have his own show, "l'm Jarryd Hayne, Get Me Out Of Here" but until then, give him a two year contract at most.

Personally, l'd only offer a higher one year contract.

Agree, the point here is we have 500 to 600k to spend so even if the Hayne deal doesn't go through we do have some money for next year to plug gaps or shore up existing contracts like Lomax.

Well today’s the day - do those eels out in the West actually know what they are talking about ? Will the Hayne plane be landing yet again at good ole Cumberland Oval or will they be have to be contented with what they already have - the wooden spoon and memories of happier days when Ray Price was running around in the blue and gold .

Why is today the day, have I missed something?
