Hunt himself also scoffed at the 1.2 mill price tag. Additionally, the apparent 300k of TPA for Hunt is almost 6x the reported TPA for the entire club.

It's easier to just make up numbers to help you build an argument.

Exactly this.
Our total TPA was 26k for the whole year.

Maybe, just maybe, this is the deal breaker with Hayne, he wants all of that 26k......lol

No point having a deal with Hayne unless he embraces the deal wholeheartedly.

If I were Millward I would give him a deadline to take our deal.

As usual, we are being used by a manager as bait.

If he had an ounce of intelligence, he would have signed a contract with Saints. We are his best chance of winning a premiership.

With McIdiot at the helm, Saints are nowhere near premiership material. Other than that, your post is spot on.

I think Hayne is as good as signed, has that feel about it

Mate, l think the only feeling going on is with Hayne himself.
He needs to get serious of p!ss off.
We don't need timewasters or knobheads.
We only want genuine players who want to make a go of it.
I'm starting to think Hayne is just loving all this drama being dragged out.
If Millwood has only offered 2 years, good on him .............. stick to it.
Give Hayne a deadline to decide and then move on.
If we're getting this much drama just to sign him, tell him he's dreaming.

Exactly OKB1 , they are stuffing the Dragons around and it would had been far better to give him or his agent a set date to decide - one way or the other . Sick of our mob being used to sweeten the pot for other players whom may never had any interest in coming South in the first place .

The cause of the delay is that SGI is playing hard ball on salary. Maybe Hayne's manager is in the final stages of arranging a Wollongong TPA.

Pity we couldn’t get our hands on that prop of there’s , Paulo Pau (?) , apparently they were thinking of letting him go , but there has been a lot of interest from other clubs , so now the Eels have decided to keep him .

Also ( as somebody else has mentioned yesterday I believe ) there shall be an announcement tomorrow to the effect that Mr. Hayne shall remain at Parramatta .

And so they should possum , It surprises me that he would have the audacity to request a 3-4 year contract at this stage of his career and for what it is worth I am glad that Millward has stuck to a lesser term of 1-2 years , if indeed this is the case .
