Because Mann will end up in the halves, Duges as a centre and Mata at wing. Add Holmes at fullback. Nighty at wing. Lafai at centre. Widdop in the halves. Aitken as first reserve centre. Milne as first reserve wing. That's a lot faster, more dynamic backline and it is right there with one simple signing. Use Benji's money.

Just to clarify - when you say Aitken and Milne as first reserves do you mean on the interchange bench or playing reserve grade?

Just watched youtube highlights of Holmes and there were plenty of standard winger finishes although there were a few that were first class finishing. He's probably not nearly as quick as Roberts but he has excellent balance and footwork and elusiveness. I think he's a very skillful and smart player though and probably a more well rounded player than Roberts so I hope we can sign him and he'd make a dynamic fullback....

Reserve grade. All teams have injuries plus rep duty so you would expect both of those blokes to get 10 or 12 games each minimum. We need depth. But we really, really need a gun 17. With Holmes we would have that.

At some stage. Last year we used five players in BMoz's old spot so you'd think a couple of blokes will get a chance, Milne being one of them.
