I would say maximum Johnson would be on a development deal. Tamale will likely be the backup centre next year. That is of course assuming Max does leave. If he doesn't then Tamale is probably a spot behind Max for next year

I think realistically speaking the one with first grade experience will get the jump on the other. Tamale only joins the top 30 for the first time next year.

Honestly if Tamale comes into 1st grade and misses 6 tackles, that fancy footwork means nothing.. tbh if Johnson gets a dev contract (called a supplementary contract now according to Webb on the podcast), he could even jump ahead.. supplementary players can play from round 1 also now.

Good point on Max though.. noone has actually taken him off us yet.. he's still in contract.

I was watching the Raiders/Knights game BGM and he was playing on the wing, I thought he may have played for us so I couldnt understand why we would let him go and stick with MF.

No, i think with Schiller we decided that we had better coming through, I'm pretty sure we originally brought him down as a fullback and then moved him into centre/wing, but it is what it is now, we move on and develop the new breed coming through.
