Peni impressed me when he was on the paddock, but he's been too injury prone. I remember reading all about him on the WT website, either before the start of '07 or '08... Tipped to shine, but he's been nowhere since. Dropsies, bung hammies, popped shoulders... It would have been good to hang onto him to see what he can do, but I can understand why he's been let go. You can't really justify hanging onto a guy who was touted as the "future" of the club over a season ago but hasn't really been seen since.

So how do we justify resigning Halatau and Collis?

A good point you're trying to make, madunit. I'm not sure when either were resigned by the club. On Halatau I'd say he showed form when it counted and bought himself a new deal. On Collis I'd say he's all class but he's been down on form for too long. On neither count could you get away with saying we gambled. We just saw diamonds while we were looking at rocks...
