Dragons statement: Player breach

Mate, it was messy from the get-go. You and I both know that.
That’s true but if it turns out to be even more lies then that does change the end game.

If they haven’t come clean when given a final opportunity to do so I think you and I will be truly gutted.

They don't need to sign anything. NRL can prove they had people outside the bubble or they can get f**ked. The players are not doing their investigation for them. NRL wants it bad enough then solve the puzzle yourselves ya muppets!
I am a great believer that you can fool some of the people some of the time but not all of t people all of the time.

If they have had a real opportunity to come clean and have decided that telling more lies is the way to get out of the mess then they deserve to get burned big time.

No respect for the club, the jersey, the fans, the game and in the end themselves.

As if the truth wasn’t going to come out ffs.

Link please.

Same goes for everyone.
I think it came from the Sydney Morning Herald but it’s behind the Dean Pay wall when I googled it.

It’s not quite as simple as presented here, but I’m uncomfortable with it.

I don’t think they are making it an legal obligation, but providing a benefit for it.

Intent on smashing the brotherhood perhaps?!

Your officials ( and many others) appear to be unduly occupied with it when it’s time to move forward.

Arrow is getting belted everywhere. If it was Custy or JTJ no one would care less.

Everyone has been fined, suspensions in place, Covid test results negative. Let’s move on now.
Yep the media has flogged the dead horse for all its worth. Im pretty sure the NRL themselves want to move on also. I guess on the positive, we know NRL being NRL it's only a matter of time before the next incident of some sort will happen and keep the parasites off our back for a while.

Pretty much the NRL wanted them to sign a stat dec on the basis that no one else was present at the party

A few of the players have signed but a few of them have refused to sign as they have received advice from legal aids and lawyers

Pretty much overall if not all of them sign by the Manly game next round then all 12 will be forced to miss that game and any game after until all of them sign the declaration.

As for stat decs, with that thinking, why don't they ask every player in the NRL to sign one each week in case they have been part of a covid breach that wasn't found out about?
Did they ask Arrow to sign one in case there were other women on other nights?
They have had their investigation and found no evidence to proceed with.
If this is the police, the NRL should keep out of it with threats of further sanctions.
If this is from the NRL, it looks like they are looking to wipe us out.

The fact that some have signed should be a good sign. You can’t blame those who haven’t if they’ve been advised not to by their lawyers,

If I was one of the players I would have just said that there were no people invited and I don't recall anyone there but I was blind drunk so don't want to sign just in case someone rocked up I wasn't aware of or was too blind to remember. Lets move on media thank you very much.

It's sensationalism 101
A few of the players want some of the wording changed

Some of the articles start off with the dirty dozen refuse to sign

People get their pitchforks out and don't even read the article

Social media gets all riled up

Read the article a few of the 12 have received legal advise and have been advised not to sign due to some of the wording

Nowhere does it say that they won't sign without a few adjustments

I'm not liking this one bit. When a person is or persons are tried and found guilty they are given penalties to serve or pay. Once the decision has been made as to the penalties, that should be the end. The people undertaking the inquisition would have no further reason to find any other breach after the penalties had been given. Just like when a judge gives the sentence after the felon was found guilty, the judge cannot say and by the way, can you please sign a stat dec to confirm that you did not commit any other offence.

If this goes to legals, the NRL could be setting a massive precedent effecting all of the players in the NRL. That is what I think. I am not a legal eagle but I'm using some common sense in all of this useless shit.

As I said in some other thread, blame it all on COVID, the blasted thing.

As SGMax stated earlier, if the NRL are serious about this then they should be insisting EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the NRL bubble sign a stat dec to confirm they have not been in contact with anyone outside it...
They wont. The media is hell bent on proving that the Dragons lied more and people outside the bubble were there and how the NRL could be shut down..LOL
They want the players suspended for more time and isolating so as to miss 2 games and bring the club to its knees

Just a thought if Arrow brought an outsider to the hotel and has to quarantine for 14, why is not the others in the hotel or at least the rest of the players as they could be potential Buzz word "fleeting" contacts as she may have contaminated the hotel by touching, breathing...something
well that is what they want you to believe could happen.
Rules for some, rules for others
