Good point.

Hunty was one of the pikers.

I picture him at home on the evening in question supervising the polishing of the gold plated lug nuts on the Bentley, sipping a Tibetan lentil latte and FaceTiming Messi.

It’s not for Hunty to spend too much time with the lessor lights of the squad.

imho an elite player when he takes on the line….a couple of times a year.
Don’t feed him

Unless this is a demand from the Police under COVID powers (appears not), this Stat Dec seems an ad-hoc coercive NRL measure, that has a questionable legitimacy given this matter is already concluded by Police.

Stat Dec is a legal document that binds players to potential criminal prosecution if later deemed to be in error or incorrect in some way, even if unintentional.

For example, if its found there were other persons involved, that is in discrepancy of Stat Decs, and the consequences being extended quarantining of players resulting in forfeits, then the players having signed are on the hook to be sued for financial loss by NRL and SGI.

This is a dangerous path the Dragons are being put on, and being singled-out for (NRL has not applied this to other breaches afaik).

All efforts must be made to push back on this MASSIVE over-reach by the NRL and keep this authoritarian sport administration in check.

- (Not having a go at you at all) I think Vaughan being on $800k is another one of Helen Lovejoy's bullshit stories to come out of this party for which there is no evidence. Same goes for:
- Corey Norman leaving his wallet on the BBQ;
- Jack de Belin hiding under a bed;
- Someone hiding in a wardrobe; and
- The party was loud and breached residential noise restrictions.

The list goes on...

The way Helen has been carrying on anyone would think that we hired a doctor who injected peptides into a player therefore perhaps accelerating his cancerous growth resulting in his death.
Getting a little hysterical ole mate.
Please link the evidence backing up this rubbish

Yes exactly. Why don't the Maroons get bullied into signing the same documentation they are pushing for the Dragons players to sign?

They should have just told the Dragons players to isolate for 14 days irrespective of whether or not there were outside people involved, hit them with the fines and that's that. Then in this way, the players would not need to put themselves in the awkward position they might be in now. We just have to get temp players to join us to have numbers to play in the couple of rounds and be done with it. We lose, we get on with it for next year.

Just because I post the article, don't assume I personally endorse it....Media hammering us unfairly @ the moment...even the story about Dylan Farrell...touted as a Dragons player, wearing our jersey....the guy played 20 games for us and 70 for Souths....according to wiki ( if correct )

They just like to rub the RED V jersey into the ground as if we haven't had enough bad publicity already. Get off our backs you media clowns!

None of them should sign anything and the club should defend their decision not to.

I understand the NRL may need to move the comp, but why does Danny Weidler only refer to Saints??????

Yeah Im sure other Clubs breached protocol. FMD!

Have a look at Reddit and Facebook that may answer your question

People with pitchforks on social media

Plus it takes focus off what actually happened in the Qld camp

NRL can't afford the SOO to be cancelled

Yes a couple of minor snippits on the NRL investigations into the Maroons which apparently is hindered by privacy issues. PRIVACY ISSUES. Where were Dragons privacy issues. Why no avidavits from the Marrons especially as potentially higher risk having outsiders come in as they are trying to convince us to believe.

Is that so Origin can continue and prople get paid so nothing to see here

Meanwhile 8 days later still most of his articles are about bagging the Dragons and what they did and less about the QLD maroons
Can not everybody now see the unbalance even by the NRL
And the reporters..they still need to be feel like they are relevant

At the start of the sgi affair, I thought it was just usual nrl grandstanding and pr first at any cost.

Then we see a pretty limp wristed response to jai with no proper info.

Then my mind turned to the co vid antecedents with other players and even coaches who interact with scores of people daily and even whole squads a couple of times a week.

And I came to the conclusion that the theatre of the sgi lads offered more to the critics than any other transgression, there was more advertising to be sold with every new or imagined development.

But the panic by the club, the grassing, the knee jerk sacking of Vaughny as a scapegoat was dissapointing. So far as we know, no suitable replacement was secured before he was obliterated.

I took some heart from Sims and Piggy ( an ex cop) and others adopting a more reasoned and compassionate view.

I don’t know how the players will respond, but I think the way it’s been handled makes it more difficult for them to overcome the distraction.

I think they should be in trouble, but I’ve said it before, the cure and repair seems far worse than the actual transgression where they remained in the bubble.

Sgi have been easy targets when the club waves the white flag and succumbs to nrl public relations nonsense.

Time will tell how the lads respond and the effectiveness of Hook. All things considered, I think he’s the best coach to get the players to step up.

If Hook can’t do it, no one can.

Hunt has been one of our best....At the time we paid unders comparative to other halves...

Press run with their make believe narrative....believe it if you want to....no one talks about Vaughan on 800K and Hunt is slightly more. Milford and ash Taylor the same.
Hunt is the Maxwell of Rugby League.. one good match in five. I dont follow the press narrative I follow my eyes. Hunt is too slow for a half, lacks ball skill and is a road bump in defense. Main asset is his kicking game and when he takes on the line close to the white paint. We paid too much for what he has delivered.
Vaughan has been a major component of our engine room for years. His game has dropped away last 12 months so no great loss he is gone. Whether he was worth the hefty pay packet is debatable but it sure opens up a sizeable chunk in our salary cap.

our club waves the white flag at a drop of a hat and it goes downhill from there. Its easy to bully a walkover, Bellamy and Bennett know this well.
