I think it reeks of being desperate. This bloke knocked us back a few months ago. What has changed since then?
Manly punted him.

Hook dumpster diving again, what a surprise. Knowing the club he was probably offered top dollar too.Manly punted him.
Jack Bird would make a good 14 but maybe a little too highly-priced for that role. I have no idea why the Dragons sign Mbye.I’m not a professional rugby league coach so if our club wants to sign him until proven otherwise I’ll say great. We have seen what he can do and if he does that for us he will be a great signing. So, where does Jack Bird play? The only option I see is bench utility competing with Mbye. He only has one more year on his contract so I wonder if he won’t be offered another contract.

Hasler cap management 1.01Manly can’t afford to keep him it’s that simple, they have cap problems, lots of upgrades to happen. Curtis Sironen gone as well. They will be paying for some of his contract as well. Great deal for us. Players with his ball carrying power don’t come along everyday. Who’s the last outside back we’ve had that runs as hard and skittles defenders as he can??
Great get!!
Worked a treat at the Dogs!Hasler cap management 1.01
overpay up front to give a small premiership window then bail, leaving the next coach to deal with the shit sandwich
He left Toovey with a turd focaccia too if I’m not mistaken..Worked a treat at the Dogs!
I think he back ends them instead of front ends them and leaves the next bloke having to release half the roster and not buy anyone for 3 years so they can get under the cap.Hasler cap management 1.01

So much for the “junior development” policy Griffin has spouted…
Sorry mate. But besides Lomax, what other junior do we have that’s a gun player who can play first grade next year? I can’t think of any…I think we need to bring in some top quality players if we don’t have them already. So much for the “junior development” policy Griffin has spouted…
Suli is devastating, when he wants to be - which has been rare…Has had multiple problems in the past at other clubs before the Sea Eagles.
Not exactly a beige signing like many of the others, but comes across as desperation for a certain coach to try and keep a job beyond 2022, signing a player that already rejected a previous offer.
Had Griffin stuck by his “developing juniors policy” he proclaimed when he got hired, we might have one by now..Sorry mate.
