Who knows the real reason why Price got an extension. But an extension of one year onto a two year contract doesn't sound heavily confident.

Insanity defined:. Doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
We keep putting the same team out and fans are expected to believe this time we will win. I.m not buying it. But the team selection is sending me mad!

I don't know why everyone is worried about our dismal year. The deadline is almost here so I'm expecting a press announcement of us signing williams, rangi, a front row forward and two centers. So obviously price had to announce the same team with players out of position. By the gametime the team will look totally different with dragons undefeated for the rest of the year. So cheer up all will be better soon. Then I woke up.

Ive been saying it a long time, but im not interested in falling over the line to win a game.. I want to play an exciting brand of football with players chosen with an eye for longterm rebuilding, and I continue to be disappointed by the selections each week.

Its all going to be ok guys - next week we are back to a home game, and then we'll have The Flames to entertain us, and all will be well...

I was the first to support Price but now, with Drinkwater and Seijka both purchased to potentially become our 7's i get if we didnt use them if Fien was killing it but he is terrible, this doesnt send a good message to players knocking on first grades door....why would you even stay at the club? I just cant believe how shit we are going and we only make subtle changes instead of wholesale ones. Flabbergasted!

The big problem for me at the moment is Prior in the centres and AhMau on the bench.Prior should be on the bench as a forward and to be honest i would rather have Creagh in the centres as he has the pace and hands that Prior doesn't have.
And would have Matthews or Vea on the bench instead of AAAAAAhMau.I can live with Stanley given another shot at 6 for another game or 2.

I dont mind Ah Mau off the bench, he has shown good promise in a few games and would only benefit from being selected again. I was totally against it last game but he put in a good performances and shut me up! TBH I'd prefer him in over Dan hunt.

We need CENTRES in the centres...I dont care if they are a bit iffy in defense, guys like Vaivai can ATTACK and best of all provide some ball to the wingers who are being grossly underutilised...

Ah Mau when given a chance hasn't put a foot wrong imo sure he isn't the biggest or most skilful forward but his defence is solid and he makes good metres.

Will Mathews has been under used since he came to the club signing Harrison was an absolute insult to him and an utter waste of cap space he is a far better player and will more than likely move on along with Ah Mau and Vea who are all off contract.

Vai Vai is injured but should have been given a go earlier I will say he'll move on yet another guy on a mid level one year deal if anything you give Goodwin a go he is playing centre at the moment he has proven in limited time in first grade with the Dragons that he is a good first grader and a better option than Prior.

Honestly I really can't see any player at the club having any respect for Price on the field they have shown it even though off it they make the right noises to back him if they truly did they would be playing a hell of a lot better.

Defence is solid? have you seen his lateral movement?

Very easy to step past.

The Plodder hits hard if they run straight at him, but he is clueless if he has to move to his left or right.. sticks out the arm and hopes for the best.
he is also very lazy when needing to slide in defence, and often leaves a gap for the inside pass...
a real liability IMO especially for the goal line defence..

The best lateral mover was Soward the side ways shuffle was his speciality along with Cooper and funny enough they aren't playing which is a good thing.

The best prop at the club is Stockwell by a country mile that's how bad Hunt and Weyman are at the moment.

Agree with Stockwell.

To be honest I think stockwell can take hunt and weyman even in their prime.

I don't weyman and hunt are that bad, I think stockwell is that good!

He is very impressive and I agree that the others aren't that bad.

Best prop in the club is Merrin.
then Stockwell, but dont write off Weyman, he just needs more game time and match fitness.. he still adds value.

Hunt on the other hand is a waste of salary cap.

I think weyman will be better used in shorter periods, not longer periods.

The game we lost to manly at kogarah he was on for pretty short stints but was very destructive, His best game of the year for me.

IMO I think this is the best way to use him from here, when he is fresh and knows he has limited time to play he can do some damage in a similar way to moi moi.

Bring him on around the 25 min mark when the middle is starting to soften up a bit and let him rip!

Prior's quick thinking tunnell pass to Morris is one of the FEW tries they have scored this season. Can't see why he is the problem. He has been OK playing out of position. Out of all the backrowers he is by far the best fit but the coach should blood a junior instead of a second rower that is if it is a REBUILDING season. That is the problem not Prior? But hey why blame the coach?

Can't believe all this shock about the team selection. Seriously did you expect better? Our coach hasn't changed so why would you expect something different this week?

On Stockwell If I were the CEO I would be upgrading his contract for at least 5 years while he is still cheapish .

Perfect example against the Bulldogs.

I am not knocking Prior.I even think he would be p*ssed off playing in the centres,i am saying that we need a centre who is mobile and can give opportunities for our wingers.Price keeps talking about offence, you can't have a forward in the centres as the set plays will break down most times.
I reckon this season Prior is the first picked each week because he is having a fine season.
