St George Illawarra Dragons coach Paul McGregor has named a 24-man squad to face Hull FC this Saturday, February 17 at ANZ Stadium.

The Dragons will kick-off at 5:30pm with the Wigan Warriors and South Sydney Rabbitohs clash to quickly follow thereafter.

McGregor was hoping to see several key factors from each of the 24 players named to play against Hull FC.

"It will be good to get them into a playing environment to see where their physical conditioning is after a tough pre-season and how their tactical understanding is," McGregor said.

"That, and their mental resilience as well as how they build cohesion and trust with each other. They're the main things I'm looking for."

Both nene and frizz have minor injuries.
So they are not risking them this week.
Nene is still recovering from knee and frizz has minor strain and jdb has a sore arm.
All will play next week at this stage

he will go well on the left,as will nightingale on the right

As long as players are picked on form, character & attitude - then everyone's on a level playing field.

Please no more tolerating out-of-form favourites, which has been Mary's flaw.

Like I said in a previous post, Reg Gasnier played out of his skin for 6 matches in 3rd grade & was rushed straight to Firsts, where he played 5 games before being selected for NSW.

It's called FORM Mary

You're WAY too conservative, especially in your treatment of juniors.

Don't be so bloody afraid
You know I honestly think you wouldn't've had the balls to select Reg at the time.

The club had wanted him to play when he was 17! Great man - Went to my school & when my mother lived above him a few years ago he treated her with so much kindness

As much as l dislike McGregor, I can only ever hope our team, wins.
I'm think a scoreline of around 28 - 16 in our favour.
OKB you have done your part in posting regularly in the sack McGregor thread.
Come back to the other topics now. Its time to be positive my friend!
2018 is a new year. Lets see how they go with the team they have and YES Mary at the helm again. He aint going anywhere for a little while so let's see how we go.
I'm feeling way more positive than I was at this time last year. I am one of those crazy fools that thinks Hunt will be the difference! No doubt that I will be told Toldyaso if not.
Cheers.

All good, Crush.
Yes, it’s in my DNA to post on the ‘Sack McGregor’ thread but in saying that, l’m trying to be as positive as one can, keeping in mine, we do have a great team, not to mention it’s the start of a new season.
C’om you Saints!
