Agree. Sloan only played half the game but looks very poised and graceful. Kerr was tough and aggressive. Fui did some good defence and generally toiled away well. Thought Musgrove was at half pace most of the game, appeared lazy but likely just “ tapering”…..

They've got Fui down for 11 missed tackles and 3 ineffective, in any other team that would see him spend the year in reserves and to be nowhere near 1st grade. Inexcusable at this level.

If you can take any positives out of the Maori vs Indigenous match it's that a really good backline will trump a really good pack most days and we have one of the better backlines in the comp I feel. 1-7 we can compete with most teams, we just need our very average pack to do their best and occasionally give Hunt & Co some room. Kerr's quick play the balls (fastest on ground today as usual) and off-loads will be valuable this year. Musgrove's defence was excellent but he's a bit of a plod in the hit up dept - should play off the bench only, we need an 8 and 10 that can make metres.

I hadn’t realised the poor stats for Fui. More disappointing than I’d imagined. Hopefully just a rusty hit out but I fear not…

Fuimaono is a reserve grade player. Not only does he miss a tonne of tackles but his technique always sees him going high and consequently suspended every other game. His sister is definitely the best player in the family. Kerr too is an inconsistent reserve grade player who lifts with an Indigenous jumper on. Musgrove is as you describe. Plod. As the opposition fan, when have you ever said "oh dam we are up against Musgrove today"? Never. These are all NRL duds. Why do we always try to convince ourselves otherwise?

If they haven't made it first grade by now, they aren't going to.

The truth hurts. I would swap any of them in a heartbeat.

I agree Fui and Musgrove aren't fit for purpose but I'm not giving up on Kerr yet, he'll be handy off the bench , he's a better option than many other suspects - Burns, JHunt, Woods, BMM, Lui-Toso, MMolo and I'd argue he's no worse than F.Molo.

How's Liddle going ? A lot rests on him this season.

This website sucks, you get more than 10 people on it and it's like the old dial up days, takes 5 minutes to write and submit a post.

He has potential. He darted out of DH and made a half break. Had someone been in support we would have been in the back field, but alas no support. He is going ok.
