I think he needs a week in premier league. We got the Cowboys next week, if we can't beat them minus Benji we are kidding, perfect opportunity to give him a stint in reggies. Give Moltzen another crack.

I don't have a problem with the 40/20 that (just) missed.
There were a few other kicks that were complete garbage though. Coupled with his non-existent defence and pedestrian attack, he's a passenger at the moment (or at least he was tonight.
That said, there's no way I'd even think about dropping him. He's got to play his own way out of the slump.

Speaking of halves - what happened to Head the back part of the game?

I dont want him to be dropped but he needs to have a good look in the mirror imo, cause hes borderline fg at the moment.

Cowboys is a great opportunity to play himself back into some form. We will belt them and if we don't we are kidding.

Right so everyone agreed it is all in his mind
Everyone agrees he is mentally fragile (justified - any of us would be)
What effect does a public spray from Coach Shines have on his already fragile state
I'll wait for the answers on this shrewd tactic from the ****ing twat that coaches us

You're priceless. Benji was WOEFUL tonight because the coach had the audacity to criticise his defensive attempts (and I apply that term as loosely as Benjis applied one of his three or four arm tackles) a couple of weeks ago.

No one can take you seriously MOTH because you display zero objectivity when it comes to individuals - be it the endless diatribe against Sheens or the incessant defense of B. Marshall, who has produced exactly nought since, oh, early 2006?

Of course, his shoulders & knees have stopped him from doing so, but thats squarley at the feet of Sheens, Simmons & McDonald due to J. Morris & S. McDonald being signed to renewed contracts I'm sure.

Now, go write the "you're a ****ing ****wit who knows less than that ****wit Shines & Sizzler put together" standard response we've all come to know & love & tell us your secrets to perfection & your credentials to back them up oh great & wise one.

Marshall sucked tonight, plain & simple. How you can put him kicking the ball so poorly on the precious one getting roused on a couple of weeks ago is as laugahble as your keyboard warrior chest beating.

Idiot.

Thats the thing you cant just bag out or single out 1 or two players every week for abuse and turn a blind eye to others who have equally or worse performances and defend them, i will give credit when due and brickbats when its deserved, agenda driven retoric helps no-one.

Can't see how anyone can stand up for Benji tonight... That was a garbage performance of the highest order. Up there with some of the greats such as Lee Murphy or Trent Runciman. Naturally we can't Morris slot in there, although his kicking wouldn't have been as poor as Marshall's today; but something needs to change about his game asap I think.

We're stuck in our own half, doing all the defensive work and Benji shows the initiative to go for a 40/20 that misses by 6 inches. Morris would have gone for the superboot and sprayed directly across the ground looking for JB on the fly. I can tell you which situation i'd prefer, because they aren't all gonna miss by 6 inches.
As for the scrum play, a bit of bad luck there. Roosters knew it was coming, 1 million people watching the game at home knew it was coming when Sheens called it a minute earlier. The Roosters player played at the ball, and somehow managed to deflect it backwards where 95% of the time it woulda went forward.

Dropping Benji for next weeks game will only make things worse. We should be winning this game by 60-70 either way and i'm sure Benji being a part of it will do wonders for his confidence.

I didn't have a problem with Benji going for the 40/20, we get that with Benji, he'll roll the dice.

But he got snake eyes every time last night and it's been like that for yonks. He doesn't take on the line, he can't tackle for **** and he just simply has zero confidence.

I'd have ****ing Lincoln Raudonikis at 5/8 before Morris but Benji is just simply a bloody big weight around our neck at the moment.

And stop talking wank about that public spray MOTH. Benji is a premiership-winning international 5/8, if he dropped his bundle because of that spray, he should go to ****ing Union.

He didn't drop his bundle, he hasn't had his bundle for 2 years.

**** some of you lot are kidding
He's 23 - he has had 5 major shoulder injuries (many as a result of coming back to early to help HIS TEAM, HIS CLUB and HIS ****WIT COACH), did a knee after 2 mins of this season, came back and was out again.

He turns the game at Newcastle for us and creates tries, kicks a 40-20 and scores 2 ... instead of coach shines having a word in private about it, shines gives him a serve in public, further highlighting his inadequacies and lowering the confidence of an already fragile player.

How many public sprays did junior burger get for costing us the gold coast and broncos game last year. How many did fitzfumble get for his million **** ups in 05 ? How many has morris copped for his ****ing z grade halfback play including not 1 linebreak assist.

If shines wants to spray players in public, fine. But when he chooses to do it to a young, lacking in confidence players who has the x factor and chooses not to do it for his ****ing pets like junior burger and morris, it shows what an utter cutie shines is

And you guys say Sheens gets an easy ride.

Every time Benji kicks the ball from inside the 40, I think to myself "please don't go out on the full", and every time he passes I think "please don't throw a hospital ball". He's kicked one 40-20 and at least 10 kicks out on the full. He was doing this constantly last year, I was hoping he has learnt from it. Every time he gets the ball, he attempts a miracle play which comes off 1/10 times.

I don't know what happened to Benji between 06 and 07, but he is a shadow of the 05-06 player.

Fitzhenry, Morris and Junior Burger between them don't have 1% of the talent that our #6 has.

He wouldn't bother spraying them because those useless ****s only have first gear in their repertoire and he knows it. It'd be like him coming out and giving TNT a spray, pointless.

Benji has 5 gears and has only used one of them in 2 years. My old man reckons he's gone and that he'll never be any good, I hope my old man is wrong.

Listen People,

Just give him time.

I don't see how dropping the player who along with Farah all our hopes rest upon can be a boost for his confidence.

Give him time.

It is in him, it just needs to come out and it will.

We coughed up more balls last night than my Nan's chinchilla cat, we were never ever, ever out of our 10 meter zone and yet we were in there until the end with a chance.

No doom and gloom here people, we were rubbish last night and still ultra competitive against one of the comp's powerhouses.

Let's not over react.

Give him time.
