I'll at least see what Krejza can do in the next two matches. There is a reason why WA hasn't played a spinner in FC.

Aaron Heal (left arm orthodox) has played every match bar one in the 4 day games this season and he had an ankle injury the game he missed..:?

Lee will never be dropped. Not enough viable competition

He does seem to be a protected species. He's done well the past year but from Indian series onwards he's been ordinry. With an avergae around 30 he's far from a top class bowler. Jason Gillespie (who had 250 wickets and a better average that Lee currently has) was punted after 2 ordinary games. I don't think now is the time to dump him as he is the only experienced bowler we have but I'd be giving a couple of new players a go in Siddle's place over the next 2 tests. If they go well then maybe we can start to ween the selctor's off Lee?

Actually, although some in here wil, say otherwise (and are wrong) Lee didn't bowl that badly in Perth.

He was crap in India but okay in Perth.

Of course, the fact that he didn't take wickets is of concern but sometimes that happens.

I'll re-assess at the end of the series - still don't believe we can afford to get rid of him with Clark out injured.

I'd rather go for IN FORM bowlers- Hilfenhaus and Bollinger are in form. This is nothing against Lee, I am backing him to rediscover his form, but he needs a spell in Shield cricket to do this. Lee bowled poorly in Perth for the so called senior bowler in the attack.

Lee didn't bowl too poorly and took quite a few wickets against NZ. Deserves to see the end of this series at least. Hayden needs to go. Now is the perfect time to blood another batsman, with two matches left on home soil. I'd also drop Siddle for Bollinger, and give Krejza one more test to perform with the ball.

Krezya has given away over 400 runs in his frst 4 tests. He has to go.

I said in one of the threads after his debut, that I doubted whether he will finish his career with 20 test wickets.

He simply is not a test match spinner and leaks for too many runs.

IMO it is crazy to drop Lee and Siddle for the both match and replace them with Debutants. I know Lee has been bowling poorly but we need some experience in the test lineup. Siddle needs to go for sure and give someone new a go. Krejza is garbage we need a wrist spinner and fast.

If Australia has to pick a spinner, I'd be going with Hauritz. Like him or not, his test record so far warrants another game.

If we are playing one, we need a spinner who can keep it tight, bowl a long spell build pressure and not get carted.

Possibly but we won't know until WA pick him! I'll at least give Krejza the series, he showed some promise in India whether the batters were attacking him or not. Hauritz in if he fails in Sydney.

Lee's job is to get wickets, pretty simple. So far this summer he was very poor in the first test against NZ, poor in the 1st innings of the 2nd test, good in the 2nd, and horrible in the first test against South Africa. This is all coming off being the WORST bowler on the tour of India..heck even White was better over there!

Hauritz or Dan Cullen should be the spinner right now. Kreija has struggled in FC cricket and one performance where in the same test the Indian spinners were turning it square will not change this. He was shocking in Perth. It is not that he did not get wickets, but how many full tosses and rank long hops did he bowl. At least Hauritz will not bowl long hops, same with Cullen.

Bryce McGain but is a week or two away from playing. There is a chance that he'll be fit for the Sydney test, but they will be picking him with no FC games under his belt.

Cullen FC form hasn't been too fancy itself. Hauritz is going alright but we might as well see what Krejza can do on less bouncy wickets like the MCG and SCG before casting him aside.

In tests Hauritz has an economy rate of 2.95 compared to Krejza's 4.53, and he averages 22.

Even if he's only played in 2 tests I think he deserves another shot based on those stats, if only because we have no other promising options.

Maybe, pick Haurie for Sydney, but not Melbourne. It looks like another dead track to me.
