Of course not.... I have been spat on and its not a nice feeling. Got in a fight in high school and I was getting the better of the bloke so he pinned my arms to my chest and spat a gob right in my face and ran off..

Normally in a fight if you're getting the better of another guy, that guy can't pin your arms. Just admit it, you were getting owned.

They are only of interest (to anyone other than their 5 fans) when they are in choke mode.

Then they become a weird curiosity. A bit like a cat with two heads.

Alot more interesting than your bizarre love in sessions & poetry readings.
Book of Feuds???..what a joke..more like Romper Room.

According to Dean Lance, Storm Football Operations Manager, he was meeting with Telstra Dome people and put the request for 6 metre in goals, no change to the width of the field was requested (which he states OP is 68 metres). He was told he needed to put the request to the NRL in writing before the request would be considered. When he got back to Storm's HQ he put the request in writing and faxed it off, about half an hour later he got a faxed reply from the NRL saying his request had been denied end of story, or it would have been if Fitzgerald hadn't had a sook.
True lol

Beat them already before they run on the field, says the Klutz

Well it would seem that besides the ingoals (by necessity) our "mini" field isn't mini at all and is the same dimensions with wise than every other ground. I had to laugh where Hagan said "We paid the price in round 23 for playing on the narrower field" ................ Well since we never grappled in that game he needed something else to sook about so he turned his attention to our non existant narrower field as an excuse.

Waldron yesterday labelled Melbourne's push to have shorter in-goals for the Dome clash as a publicity stunt. But, in a bizarre twist, Olympic Park officials rejected claims their ground was narrower than other NRL venues, saying that Parramatta and the NRL had the wrong information.

NRL chief operating officer Graham Annesley yesterday produced a document that listed the width at Olympic Park as 66m. A full-sized field is 100m x 68m with 8m in-goals.
Horticultural manager Adrian Black, however, yesterday confirmed the Park was a full-sized field, revealing the ground was reconfigured in 2005, 12 months before the Commonwealth Games, to 68m in width.

"I'm not too sure where they're coming from. It's definitely 68 (metres in width)," Black said. "We want it brought to the fore because it really gives us the sh---- when the commentators are up there and they start carrying on about a narrow field at Olympic Park. It's the same as everywhere else."

Black said the in-goal remained at 6m because of safety fears. "Because of our athletics track we're a bit limited with our in-goal. Just for safety reasons we like to have it at 6m," he said. Eels coach Michael Hagan said Parramatta had paid a price in round 23 for playing on the narrower field. :sarcasm:

Black said he would welcome both Hagan and Fitzgerald to use a trundle wheel to measure the ground's dimensions themselves.

And ?...................

People would not throw bait if "some" melbourne fans would not take it every time. These things are played out in the media for our enjoyment. That's about the only purpose these type of statements serve, your insecurities and need to be hated.

And what? If you're too slow to understand the irony/stupidity in Hagan's statement then i'm not going to waste my time explaining it to you. To anyone else it's very self explanatory.

What does it have to do with the media in what i'm saying? All they did was quote Hagan directly when he said they paid a price for playing on a narrower field when in fact it's exactly the same size as every other in the comp. It's blatantly obvious that he thought it was narrower as he wouldn't have risked himself looking like a total knob saying it if he did know.

Chumps like me to eat it up? Waldron threw out the bait for chumps like you to eat it up and you certainly haven't let us down. You only have to go over the drivel you've written in this thread to see you got baited an absolute beauty by Brian ;-)

I can live with that, but being a club that is happy to break contracts, then force a young guy to play with them, easy decision......... Integrity > no integrity. As for forgetting the above jokes, this was said today. Now you have the hide to whinge about people commenting on it, after that was your intention ? Did mummy and daddy not give you enough attention when you were growing up ? Yeah it took you 7 minutes to write a couple of lines Stupid, stupid thing to say, even if he was being sarcastic.

You had best stop, you are now emberrasing yourself. You have made a claim, I explained it to you, and you still carry on. So please, again show me where I have used a quote from a media outlet to prove a point. I have only responded from my point of view, again big big difference. Keep eating the press releases up chump.

You believe the Storm when they tell you that it is the normal width? Then why won't they allow an independant, neutral party to measure it?

When Warren Smith tried to do it, Storm had security escort him from the ground.
hmmm, why would they do that unless they had something to hide.

Regardless, Telstra Dome is now the required size playing area. Game on.

Why won't they allow it??? Obviously you didn't read or conveniently glossed over the quotes already given earlier in this thread from the grounds keeper inviting Fitzgerald and Hagan to measure the ground so here they are again. I've bolded it and it's right down the bottom so you don't miss it again....

Black said he would welcome both Hagan and Fitzgerald to use a trundle wheel to measure the ground's dimensions themselves.

After the event, when they've been invited - it means nothing. They could easily remark the field. Maybe they wouldn't. But why have they baulked at it in the past?

Do you have proof? source where they've baulked it in the past? Oh and they're really going to re-mark the filed

Reread the post, it is there for everyone to see.

It is now Brian threw the bait out is it. You quoted him to suit your argument, I commented on it. You really are clutching at straws. Is there a history of bipolar or any other mental illness in your family ?

If i am wrong I am happy to retract or apoloogise, not a difficult thing to do. Imentioned integrity 4 post out of 20, either I have hit a raw nerve or it is a bit too close to the truth.

Retract anytime you want, it is an opportunity to show everyone you have a backbone.
