Dufty comments

Fans on here are absolutely ridiculous. 7 weeks ago Dufty was the saviour and we were all laughing at the thought of even keeping Dugan. Fast forward 7 weeks and now the club has 'rocks' in its head for extending him and playing him at fullback.

Newsflash people, he's in his first season in first grade and is absolutely tiny compared to the average NRL player. Of course the physical toll on the NRL was going to catch up to him eventually, he'll be back to his best soon.

Herbert is going to the Warriors and Dufty is not up to it. Slot Lomax in now in readiness for 2019. Let's see if we need to let Dufty go and shop for a fullback in the off-season.

Also, bring in a good coach now and give a chance to progress in the finals. If Bennett is not coming then bring in Hasler or Maguire for the rest of 2019. Hornby and Young are part of the problem and so should also be sent on their way.
Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Good lord. 2016 it was “drop Dugan, bring in Dufty”

We do, and he has a blinder. He’s saved our bacon a number of times since then, but suddenly it’s “drop Dufty bring in Herbert”..

The kid is down on confidence, this happens. He’ll come good.

Hell, I recall Slater having a similar start to his career. If only the Storm had cut him loose like we want to do with Dufty..

BTW, where’s Marsters at? I thought he was the shiny new toy we all wanted to play with. Why is Herbert back to bring flavour of the month?

When you see Lomax in action as our fullback, you will forget all about Dufty.

Regardless of where it was said and to whom, it was still said.
Dufty is not the only one saying it at the moment, Graham told fans to F off, Mary was less than fulsome in his response to the same question.

You know who dosnt get booed?
Teams that win.
Players that score tries.
Players that make match winning tackles.

You know who deserves to get booed?
Teams that lose 38-0 and 40-4 to bottom ranked teams.
Teams that get flogged in thier last home game of the year when honouring a retiring club legend and a fallen comrade.
Teams that need to beat a club in absolute crisis to get a second chance in the finals and get flogged.

Cop it on the chin and move on with the thought that you Proberbly deserved it.

And before the everyone get all hissy, this is not an attack on Dufty, as I've said before he could be a fantastic player if he and the team as a whole was coached properly.

Well, no.

Where is the evidence it was actually said, and in what context? I hear references to twitter, but haven’t seen any tweets.

And of course, where you say something and to whom can have a massive difference. Eg “I’m thinking of you naked” can be a wonderful thing to say over the phone to a spouse.

Not so much to the same being said to the garbage man via the window of his truck.

Again, where’s the proof and in what context?

If some of the vitriol on here was spouted unfairly at him, I’d say he’s well within his rights to say that in reply.

Just because you’re wearing the same colours as the player doesn’t give you the right to be a terrible human.

We’re all annoyed at yesterday’s result, but directing the venom at the players isn’t going to help.

players have been copping criticism since Jesus played Halfback for Nazareth......

I remember that season.
Nazareth Narks played at the Coliseum against, if l remember rightly, the Jerusalem Giants.
The score was something like 54-4 to the Giants.
Afterwards, the losing team got fed to the lions.

Now that’s a tough audience!

Duffy has got it too easy.

Dufty can be a very good player but at the moment he is out of form and down on confidence, Any other coach would give him a spell in ISP to recover but sadly not our coach.

Expressing displeasure at a team's, or individual's performance, is fine.

IMHO, personal abuse of players is off limits.
