At first all of this Farrah to Dragons was lunacy, but we actually have a track record of getting players where there is no other bidder really available, Dugan, Marshal and Packer all come to mind...so now I'm not so sure...could this Club be plotting a master stroke with Farrah to Dragons and Rein to Tigers???

I really doubt it.....but...you never know....

If no money were changing hands, it was just a straight swap, you wouldn't be in favor of it? I think Rein has copped a lot of criticism he doesn't deserve (though his passing out of dummy half last Sunday was one of his worst days) but Farah, whether he is a complete ******* off the field or not, is in an entirely different and higher class. And next year a No.9 who can play 80min will be even more valuable.

Mr V. If no money changed hands I'd be fine with that, we'd get 2 good years out of him, but who do u have as cover for him, with Origin and injury? Garvey?

Garvey is not up to it... Let him go.

Surely a "token" bid of around $150k per year for Farrah would be worth a throw at the stumps.

Would hate to think the Bulldogs throw a similar offer and snag him. But he would be the missing link for them to win a premiership.

Tigers have said Cherrington is the future, yet some talk of Ex dragon now bulldog Cook being of interest to the Tigers... So much for Cherrington.

I doubt Farah will go anywhere... But surely we should at least make an offer. You don't get many chances to get "overs" in this game.

What is probably more important for the dragons is retention of the young talent we develop... But I guess that involves identifying the right talent to start with. We seem to be so far behind in this part of the business.

Havili would be a perfect foil. Cover for Farah and big enough to play as a forward if not required.

Read somewhere where the dragons spoke to his manager a while ago but either he or the tigers said no.If it was the tigers sounds like they were not happy with our $ offer.Maybe Doust went fishing for a huge bargain.

At this stage it sounds like there's more chance of Farah staying and Jason Taylor leaving.

"Suppose Farah's management is offered a $800,000 a year payout on the remaining two years of his contract, understood to be $925,000 a year. If another NRL club, such as Souths, offered him $200,000 a season, it would be an attractive proposition, playing for a more competitive team. However, the NRL would insist Souths outlay a figure commensurate with the value of an Australian and NSW hooker."

Debunks the idea that he could be picked up cheaply by another club.

500k is a lot for a player approaching the end of his career but after watching last Sunday's game I feel it's gone from being desirable to urgent. It would depend if they can offload Mitch Rein. He is likely on 300k or more a year.

Do you honestly think that Farah can play the way he I'd last week every week? He just had a point to prove.

Remember how well Rein played against the warriors a few week back?

No in both cases. I'm not one of the hate Mitch Rein crowd but to be honest, he can't even dream about playing like Farah did last week.

Well they are trying hard to make it happen, therefore you are saying Farah is not interested ?

You are best not taking anything this homie says seriously. According to him the Dragons use alternate jerseys so as to prevent wear and tear on either of them and Widdop was hiding his injury from the coaching staff because he is English and didn't want to bother them (the coaching staff)....... Seriously!
