The blow back is completely absurd on Dugan - but not uncommon for someone who bit back at certain media flogs - he has made mistakes but seriously no worse than others, who haven’t contributed to the community as Dugan has in recent times.

Could well be I wouldnt be surprised one way or the other .Precious media ponces were insulted , they have the power to bide their time and hit back and unsurprised if thats all there is to it.... Looks to me like it’s a toys out of the cot scenario. Bit like Fifi’s high shots while playing for Newie. Don’t underestimate the egos of these guys that think it’s beneath them not to play top grade. Chad only managed to play one game for Newie before moving on also.

I don’t think WE (the club) would suffer if we just released him.

We have Jackson Ferris, Jensen T, Luke Metcalf…

However, the club could decide to keep him for the rest of the year on compassionate grounds… I just can’t see any other NRL club wanting him.

Isn't it too late for mid-season transfers? Maybe not I think I heard somewhere the date was being pushed back.

Either way I can't see any club being interested.

I’m not 100% sure, but if we release him from fulfilling his contract, as the instigators of the release, he would still be paid in full, but his salary would not count against the cap…

Not why he moved. He was already negotiating with Raiders and Warriors from the time he signed with the Cows. It was why he was dropped though.

Would count against 2021 cap. He's off contract, can't count against next years cap. Probably couldn't be replaced for this year. Then you gotta bring someone up and their pay goes against 2022 cap

Not worth showing him the door. That's why sneaky clubs, not the Sharks of course, go on the course of piss them off till they leave. Once they ask the club is in for nothing unless they agree to help another club take the player on.

The other thing is that with Chads money we could have $500k in the kitty to forward someones pay for next year.
