Looks awesome, but theirs been so many games that have looked awesome and havnt delivered. Hopefully it does though.

I've never been hyped about this game, so i might be a bit surprised. The only game to live up to my hype was Oblivion.

This looks good, something to play over the traditionally boring winter months.

Been playing this since yesterday & can't say I'm blown away. Some good jokes in there but even that gets old quick with boring gameplay. I will say that the ending to the first "level" (for lack of a better word) wasn't what I would have ever guessed. And I'm not talking about the field goal! :lol:

Not the worst game I've ever wasted time on but I can see this getting crap reviews as it looks like a thousand other old games, just with better story/dialogue. My opinion only, plenty will no doubt love it.

As a sidenote, I haven't played multiplayer so it may get better there.

Pretty much agree with that, some laughs for fans of the Duke in an otherwise average game, they killed multiplayer for me when they announced no co-op.

I played duke nukem many years ago and I'm not even excited about this, it looks like trash.

gimme quake/ut (games still use their engines to this day, albeit modified/upgraded) anyday

id Tech 4 is a piece of shit. there's plenty of good reasons why id is starting from scratch with id Tech 5. it is clunky.

Unreal Engine 3 is excellent, but is completely removed from the original Unreal Engine. i believe Unreal Engine 2 was a pretty much a complete re-write - which is the Engine UT2003 was built on. UE2.5 sat somewhere in the middle with some enhancements, too. the current UE has absolutely zero to do with it's original ancestor, though.

my favourite would be the Source engine, for sure. massively scalable, crisp gameplay and heavily moddable.

i also think you'll find that Duke Nukem Forever is built on Unreal Engine 2.5... rofl... didn't help it, though. what a heap of shit.

So it's definately crap? I trust you guys on all the games I buy and ya'll haven't let me down so far.

Well, maybe Batman Arkham Asylum, but that was an impulse purchase anyway.
