Geez you two really need to build a bridge and get over this Craig Trindall thing...it doesn't matter what you say or that Dave has forgiven Trindall, nothing will change the fact that he tested positive for drug use and that Craig Gower will always be put on a pedestal..and remember don't always believe what you read, just because it's in print doesn't mean it's true...

If I had to choose either to have a beer with, I'd choose Trindall and I would do so without any hesitation.

Gower, Amanda, his family and myself wouldn't have a beer with you either Dave and without hesitation. ;-)

But no lame dumping on Craig Trindall, not on my watch.

He just might be the player that saves 2007 for you. Not to be underestimated. If an unfashionable Stapo can show up the big represntative names of the Panthers so too can Craig Trindall. Probably with less effort too.

Elliot will regret the day he gave Trindall a number greater than 25. And knowing of Elliot, he probably wouldnt mind if that happened either!

It would seem you are making a presumption Dave Q that the coaching staff are punishing Trindall by not having him in the top 25?

My presumption would be that Trindall hasnt trained the house down like some others.

Only the coaching staff have the right answers.

So you would think less of gower if he tested positive to drugs?
Good thing he hasnt been tested for horse steroids ....

Neigh.

Every year Panther management say they have the answers until about round 14, when the injuries set in and the wheels fall off.

Last year some of the panther management were out holidaying -walking the kokoda trail -while the Panthers were getting nailed by a succession of the comps worst teams.

And they werent even over there looking for players!

And the grand plan to promise youngsters a go sounds great until you lift up the carpet and look underneath and then it looks like the Panthers are intending to feild a team worse than last year's model with most of the juniors running up and down the sideline in silent anguish.

Great.

I'll call it now, the grand plan isnt looking so grand.

Even the Titans have managed to secure a more interesting back line. Even lowly Souths have. What the hell is going on out there?

You dont need boot camp, you need a couple of established stars.

And when did PK last see Craig Trindall train? Give us an account of that experience.

For the first time in quite a while, the Panthers are getting a wooden spoon rating by some.

Probably undeserved, but this grand plan is being sold too hard. Dont believe the hype.

Put the cashish into luring a Hodges, Myles, Webster and the like. Buy back Stapo!

Dumping Trindall to 26 and below status was a symbolic gesture of desperation.

As a matter of fact I would....I don't agee with drug use, i've seen the affects they can have and it's not pretty...besides, I didn't say I thought less of Trindall. Like PK said, did anyone stop to think that maybe he's not training the house down? It's up to the coaching stff NOT the fans to pick the top 25...

If they were meant to be on the field then there would be something worth worrying about there...

Craig Gower, Luke Priddis, Rhys Wesser, Tony Puletua... to name a few. The operative word being few...

I haven't and never said I did. How about you Dave? Have you gone out and watched a public training session yet?
By the way, it would take more than just one training session to prove one self.
I expect only the best in my team.
I guess being a souths fan you have come to accept mediocre.

Gus Gould and a few others rated a 2003 Panther outfit a wooden spoon, need I say more...

Sorry, the only hype I don't believe is the bullsh*t that trickles from you.

I don't get what the big thing about craig trindall is. Truth be told if Peter Wallace hadn't gotten injured when he did last year I doubt the panthers would have even picked up trindall. In any case given the choice between Wallace and trindall I'd rather wallace any day if only because of the age difference.

Well the age difference isnt the test for me Caged.

They are quite different players with different things to offer.

I reckon Trindall is the smarter player, he has a greater awareness on the feild through his experience.

I'll deal with PK's cheap shots later. Wont have to stretch the mind too far I might add.

Everyone is cheering and clapping like every year until the rot sets in. Then everyone turns nasty. Not me, when the going gets tough, I'll be looking for the positives.

I'm not buying the grand plan, not after the Trindall treachery.

I'll add this though, I am a fan of Trindalls and thought that his game play would compliment Gowers, the little I saw of him play.

But Trindall was brought over from Windsor Wolves where he was killing it in park football. Personally I don't think he made too much of a dent in Premier to warrant automatic selection for 1st Grade. Now it seems the bloke has tripped up. It's up to him to get back on the rails.

Being named in the Top 25 doesnt really mean much. It just means those 25 that were named worked their butts off over the off season thus far.

In the meantime Craig Trindall might just go out there in Premier or Flegg, where ever they decide to put him and play brilliantly, just like he did in park football.
That brilliance would give him a leg up to fill in for an injured player.

You never say never.

You should take off your black and white lenses Dave Q and look at the world the way it should be looked at in all its colour and glory.

"I am a fan of Trindalls" so am I PK.

Richo delivered unto you Grand Final glory!

Management should have been home managing-not off in another country on some trekking holiday which brought no benefit to the club at all.

It smacked of self-indulgence and indifference to the players, their staff, the club at home and fans.

Then to harp on about it whilst the team was shuddering from one disaster to another was almost contemptuous.

This is a rugby league club not a travel agency for military history buffs.

I liked the cat comment, I'll pay that.

Stars usually manage to get their team into the 8. Good players, but only starry-eyed at the moment.

You made a comment on Craig's training and yet you havent seen him train. I didnt make that assertion PK, you did and you cant back it up from your own knowledge. So its something youve heard or read, but do not know yourself. You'll have to wear it but at least you came clean.

Yes, it was a famous dumb remark by Gus! But it was quite awhile ago now.

It was then unfortunate that you then slipped back into your old habits of personal abuse which doesnt take your arguments anywhere. It only detracts from things you said earlier.

I thought your next post was better-signs of improvement.

The Panthers are a great club, but they do not seem to be well-managed at the moment.

Ok, I have numbered these so the slow can follow on...

1. Richo didn't deliver Grand Final glory, the players and coaching staff did..

2.Does your place of work offer you annual leave each year?? If so, then I guess you would take annual leave where and when you desire...it seems to me that you are saying that the Panthers management aren't entitled to annual leave and before you say "they shouldn't take it during the football season, there are certain times of year to do the Kokoda trail due to climate conditions. If you ever get a chance to do the Kokoda I suggest you take it...it's a very powerful trek from what I have heard.

3. I have seen Trindall train and he ain't nothin' to write home about compared to others...

4. I didn't know we were being graded on our posts....:?

No he didn't. He was in the right place at the right time. It was only humble Lang who praised the efforts of the last management that was cleaned out. Not greedy Richo.

I would have trekked the Kokoda trail too, if given the chance.

Don't worry Dave we won't go looking through your clubs lockers, it's not in a Penrith fans nature. ;-)

Could be why our Kokoda trekking Management cleaned out a closet.
I'll let my starry-eyed boys do the talking on this one.

Making a comment such as:
PK said:

Meaning of Presumption: Ground for presuming; evidence probable, but not conclusive; strong probability; reasonable supposition; the presumption is that an event has taken place.

Of course one would presume that a contracted player is training with a club. And your point is?

Dave Q said:

A while ago as in what 3/4 years ago? LOL!

A while ago would be when Souths one their last premiership.

Dave Q said:

Personal abuse would be calling you names.

I don't like to lower myself to that form, not even when your mates make derogatory comments about me.

Saying I don't believe your bullsh*t hype is not personal abuse. It's a matter of opinion by me.

Dave Q said:
I thought your next post was better-signs of improvement.

I'm not here for your approval, I'm here to discuss my club with other fans who are just as passionate as myself.

Like other passionate rugby leage fans, I don't take kindly to other supporters rubbishing my club and that is what you are doing. Whilst ever you keep up with your agendas on our management, our players, and our coach I will challenge you.

Dave Q said:

Now lets get down to your agendas...

I find these comments of yours amusing. Correct me if I am wrong but don't you say you are a PRO-Panther Supporter? You've changed your view again. It seems quite frequent, do you change your view as regularly as your underpants?

I'm all for views on changing but I think it comes down to your agendas. It's looking like you change your views when you think someone is "personally abusing you" and your definition of personal abuse is someone's opposing comment to your comments.

Truly, that's all it is.

I didnt ask for the Panther to care at all. Who cares what the Panther has to say about the forum. Panther, go ahead and post something you care about. Make my day.

Back to PK's response.

If I recall, Richo was CEO of the Panthers in 2003. Point to me.

As for Kokoda, I re-iterate my point. No meaningful come back PK. You dodged it! Point to me!

They werent stars when the lowly placed Roosters and the Rabbitohs beat them up.

Ok, I'll give you the point on your careful use of the word "presumption" point to PK

3/4 years is a long time for followers of the Panther. Souths have nothing to do it as you well know. Just a cheap shot, deflected easily, point to Dave Q.

You called me a "troll" and you should have retracted that. That was abusive in its context and also wrong. Point to Dave Q

If you are expessing an opinion, you should present it as such. Other people have different opinions. This is what you cant seem to tolerate. Its sad. Point to me.

When did I say you were here for my approval!! Thats a wild inference indeed! I'm flattered.

When did I rubbish the Panthers? I am just offering an opinion. Did I say the Panthers were bad evil? Did I say I didnt like them?

It was treasonous to make Trindall pay for the half-effort most of the side produced last year. Hes top 25.

Heres the solution proffered by Panther Management to the world on its woes:

"Hey everyone, weve changed the side. Weve fixed everything, weve dumped Trindall to 26+".

Wow, that'll make a real difference!

Puhlease!!

Go for it PK. Get your points back, I expect a paralysing response!

Trindall will make you non-believers pay. You'll be sorry allright. I have complete faith in him.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but don't the Panthers have WAY more than 26 players?? Trindall isn't the only one of any merit that didn't make the top 25 you know....in fact a fantastic player wasn't re signed for this year by the name of Jason Wrigley. Yes he was injured for a lot of last year but he proved himself in the past but you don't hear anyone whinging about his cut from not only the team but the club.

Also, in case you missed my last post Dave, I have seen him train and as I said, he ain't nothin' to write home about.....

And one other point, which you may have missed....Richo wasn't playing, or coaching when we won the Grand Final so I don't believe that "point" is yours...you may think Richo is great now, as we did in 03 but don't worry, he'll let Souths down too....

LOL! So you can't and won't see through the blinkers. The only thing Richo did as CEO was pay those "starry-eyed" players bulging wallets and walk out for someone else to clean up the mess.

Dave Q said:

What point? What has the management trekking Kokoda need for you to point at? That's a desparation post by a troll, not much more to say on soft post like that...

Dave Q said:

Pfft, another desparation post by a troll.

We beat the Roosters when it counted and Souths well who could help but feel sorry for those poor bastards, it's not like letting them win a game is letting them win a premiership anytime soon.

I don't need points. Your trolling is pathetic.

It's all fine and dandy when your throwing the cheap shots isnt Dave. Whose dodging now?

It's still not personal abuse, it's a fact.

Your ego is bruised because too many people are seeing you for what you really are. A sh*t stirrer who likes to bring unrest to other clubs fans. I was sent a link of you in the Titans Forum. Now that was a laugh. You were given up as a troll there too.

Dave Q said:

You got it all wrong. It's you who cannot tolerate others who challenge your agendas. This forum has many different fans with many different views. This section alone has quite a few regulars who when the footy is back on come and express their thoughts and opinions without any problem what so ever.

You on the otherhand keep coming back with the same agenda but in different styles.

For example your thought pushing on us of Elliott, how many times do you have to re-iterate how "for your mind he needs to prove himself" Holy crap, look in your own backyard before you go and start telling us that we should not think too high of Elliott.

Another example your thought pushing on us about how you won't have a beer with Gower, now how many times did you push that agenda in a couple of topics? I bet you would have a beer with Jason Taylor though. ;-)

Now it's your agenda pushing with our management Kokoda trekking!

Is that all you got? For gods sake, get a life.

Dave Q said:

To name a few much the same.
Like anyone gives a toss what you think of their posts.

Dave Q said:

Offering opinions such as how we should question our management why they went Kokoda Trekking?

Offering opinions such as why Trindall didn't make the top 25 and how they will pay for it and what a treacherous thing to do and blah, blah, blah...

Offering opinions how we should take a stance with how Matt Elliott should respect?

Offering opinions on how you won't have a beer with Gowie and *without hesitation"

Gee and they are only the agendas you have been pushing on us in the last couple of months.
