What really gets me is how the word "misogyny" gets thrown out when you have absolutely no idea who we are as people. Sure, there are arsehole men out there who think they have some kind of power over women or that they're smarter because... I dunno, reasons, but I assure you I am not one of them and I don't think any of the people in this latest drama are either.

I was raised by a single mother, who is the strongest and the most street-smart women I have ever met in my life (I've seen her go toe-to-toe with blokes... and win). I have a partner who got her degree and protected the 2 boys from everything (before I came along) while in the middle of DV relationship. I now have 2 daughters (one 17) who are strong willed and allowed to explore any kind of expression they feel the need to. Our house is equal, and equality is taught and shown in our every day lives so that our kids know they can express an opinion and no one is going to shut them down.

So maybe, just maybe, next time you're in a fluster because you're having a debate with someone on footy forum and they don't agree with you, don't just throw out the word "misogyny" without a second thought. Because as it stands, I am not misogynistic and never have been and I find being labelled as such extremely offensive.
