Eagles - Eels Quick post match analysis

1. Outstanding effort all night - unlucky not to get the win.
2. Macguire cost us the game. The drop ball after the Hayne 40-20 and then in the lead up to the matching winning try he came up for nothing and left our line staggered. The quicker he retures the better.
3. FFM was magnificient all nigth. When he was spelled, we lacekd the go forward.
4. Loko had a great game - his best in first grade.
5. Still unconvinced about Morgan. He is a work in progress - he had some bad mistakes like hogging the ball when Atkins was open and dropping the ball inside our 20 but he did have the final pass to the Horo try and he did chase down Matai.
6. Burt was horrible all night. bad kicking game and he was not alert for the Stewart try.
7. Keating sucked from dummy half.
8. Hayne was pretty good- he throws beautiful passed from both sides and has an awesome kick.
9. Ryan Phelan should he replaced. He is horrible.
10. Rfes were ordinary - they let Manly players lay all over our players in the ruck

Burt should not be the goalkicker next year. Sandow should.

Webb was awful, Reni to return next week.

I wouldn't re-sign Casey, would rather Humble for 2012.

I don't like Atkins. He is way too slow and piss weak. Grothe would have scored a few out wide tonight.

Morgan needs to bulk up but it wont matter as Esi Tonga will take his place.

Robson had his usual rocks and diamonds game.

I thought Mannah was quiet

Ben Smith should always start.

Horo was awesome.

Hayne should have shown more urgency for that last try. He shits me with some of his laziness.

We look terrible out of dummy half. The whole area around the play-the-ball, either in attack or defence, needs to improve. We dont go forward fast and hard enough at the right time and we let the opposition go too fast around the play the ball at the wrong times.

Morgan isnt a first grade centre. Maybe in two years, but not now.
