Early tip: Sandow won't see out his contract

He is not crap, he is a very class player when he is on form and is confident.

To be honest you could put Cronk or JT behind the pack at parra and you would probably get the same result.

Football games are won in the forwards these days and then the backs build of the go forward time and space they get from them.

I would love Sandow at the broncos behind our pack with all the big names we have when they are in form that is.

Agree .. If we punt Sandow to use Kelly it will be a decision that will haunt us for years to come.

The scary part is if we are chasing a particular marquee player and the choice is between us, who have a history if punting high paid players who may not necessarily perform well in their first season or so at the club and a club that looks after their players the best way they possibly can it will again place a further issue to recruitment.

And really it already happens. I think this has been our biggest issue in recruiting players anyway. If they don't perform straight away we are trying to pack them off as ast as they arrived. We have a poor history of looking after big money signings whether they are performing (Morrison for example) or not (Poore, Dykes, Witt, Simon, Mateo)

The Canterbury 4 were very well looked after. It's just that our history in recruiting halves that play consistently in our side has been almost cursed.

Is he crap? He was awesome before he came to Parra.

to be perfectly honest i dont rate him. And i dont think he'll ever be much of a halfback. With our pack improving in 2014 maybe its worth persisting with him though.

Id try him off the bench and give him and Kelly 40 minutes each for the first 3-4 games and see who plays better.

No player will look good in our team this year.
Problem with Chris is when we are close to the line he cant even do the simple things right like roll the ball into the in goal or put a nice bomb up.
His defense is also extremely awfull.
Is he better than Kelly? Running the ball yes.Kicking game -par Defense -No

Now consider there pay difference and theres the problem-We bought a lemon basicaly disguised as a peach

He was a laughing stock before he came to Parra.
Apart from a small amount if games he was just like he is now - he just had a better forward pack to make him look slightly better.
He has always had a terrible short kicking game and an average passing game. But his decision making was poor even at Souths.

Steve Sharp was on Talkin Sport this afternoon and when asked about Chris Sandow he said "It's Ricky's call on his future." Doesn't sound too promising about Sandow staying to me. You would think that he would of said something like "Sandow is contracted to the club for another 2 years etc etc. "

He also said that Chris is struggling with things away from the game. I think the show is usually pretty biased against the Eels but I thought it was a good and fair interview. Not sure if I agree that we will be it the 8 next year and a premiership force the year after... But here's to hoping.

The super grass on triple m has suggested a high profile halfback on approx 550k is being investigated by the integrity unit for placing bets on himself to kick 40-20s. Ne idea who he is talking about?

That's one way to get rid of him I guess.......how stupid of him if it is true!

i thought the only bet you could put on a 40/20 was if there is one kicked in a game or not and from memory it doesnt pay that well

he would be better off trying to rig a margin bet or something

The margin bet is a lot harder to win. Too many variables in play. A halfback has pretty good chances of kicking himself a 40/20, particularly someone who has kicked plenty of them before.

true but the payout is a lot less im sure there are plenty of other bets that would pay more

One of your marquee signings that could play that position next year is currently playing QLD cup that is how good his form as has been, for your cause I hope you did not offer him way overs.

You mean the bloke that is top three in the NRL for linebreak assists?

He's been made a scapegoat. If your coach had any balls he would move Norman to the halves and drop Prince or Wallace.

He had his chance in the halves all of last year did not work out really.
