The key to this though - is how much input was he really allowed to have as an assistant to the bellend one?

I doubt he would have been able to have much of an influence at all to be honest - given the dictatorship I imagine working with knobhead would have been.

Yeah I get that - but what im suggesting is that dickface probably wouldnt have allowed Parish to have much of a say - I don't think its entirely fair to suggest that he has proven that hes a dud by not being able to improve the Eels in 2013.

not sure about arthurs again, but someone who can instill the basic no frills structures of manly could be of benefit

that structure's actually been in place for nearly a decade. i remember when it was in it's infancy, they used to be the most boring club in the nrl grinding out results. they're still playing that way, but getting bigger wins now.

what that early platform and philosophy did is set up their culture and structures.

i'm not saying brad arthurs is responsible for that, but he is exposed to the machinations of the club and the way manly go about their football is something simple and succesful that we could easily replicate from day 1 as we are in dire need of a platform ourselves

Do you forget we recently tried to replicate the Storm structure with one of their highly touted assistant coaches? That worked out well for us didn't it?

kinda like the on-field structures the storm have. we should try get one of their current or former assistants to come to parra to try imitate their play.

the storm's structures revolve around having 3 out of this world superstars and a heap of coachable plodders attended to by a plethora of various coaches.

manly can't afford to keep with the storm that way and neither can we. manly's structures are a better model for us to simulate

It's working for Souths though.
As it has been stated on here numerous times, we signed the wrong Storm assistant coach.
