Great to see we have no injuries and everyone in top form as evidenced in the team list out today.
Mc Fookknuckle has used his tried and proved method for getting the best team on the paddock to ensure we don't lose by more than 18.
If we keep the losses small and those below us keep losing we will rocket into 4th spot on the ladder.
Success is at hand.

So in case anyone feels like some bright shiny optimism - we’ve been flat and off the pace the last two weeks - and yet;
Vs roosters we ran for more then 230 metres than they concede on average, and made 5 line breaks, they concede just over 3 on average.
Vs warriors we ran for more than 400 metres over their average conceded, without our best forward, and again made 5 line breaks.
Statistically (Ha! You love it, don’t pretend you don’t.) those sort of numbers are very strongly correlated with winning games. If we Keep that up, we will win at least 3 of the last 4. Probably all 4. If...

Statistically we are currently the 4th best team in the comp.
Anyone believe we are the 4th best team in the comp at the moment?

Funny thing about this is (as someone already said) we are 4th playing the bottom team. In any other universe this would and should be a game we win well and heavily improve our for and against. Going in bold and confident.

In our universe however, this is a danger game, most expecting us to lose, waiting anxiously for the team announcement only to be deflated instantly.

In all honesty it would be great opportunity to rest tired players as ISP has a bye this weekend. With 4 weeks before the finals other teams would build into their run, ensuring everyone (barring unforeseen injury) will be at their peak. We, on the other hand, have to rely on the players that are jaded, busted and out-of-form just so we can hang on. The 21 listed today is a testament to that.

Nighty still on the wing, Aitken who is severely out of form remains at centre. We can't find a spot to arguably the best Dragons ISP player this year, in fact he doesn't even feature in the 21, Pat Herbert. Although named in the 21, young Lomax would have a particularly easier full game initiation against the bottom ranked team either at centre or on a wing.

Again, we are playing the bottom ranked team ffs, favourites for the wooden spoon, who really have nothing to play for, so they will ad-lib and maybe play crap or have a blinder. We will play like its everything at stake, which usually leads to errors and drop of heads, just like the Canterbury game last year. Too much stress effort than free riding footy. Panic will set in if they get more than 6 in front. Then the crabbing will begin and the individuality plays start.

We are playing the bottom ranked team, this should never even be a thought in our heads, seriously!

I’ve tried to defend McGregor & give him benefit of the doubt but seriously he has painted himself into a black corner. He blew his chances to rest SOO and Rep players. So now can’t rest them and is hoping we just click into gear! We look busted and directionless.
His stubbornness and lack of faith to blood our juniors is a massive red mark against him. Not confident we can beat a resurgent Parra who have nothing to lose and desperate to avoid the spoon.
Mate, I don’t understand how Parra could be considered a resurgent team - they’re last.

Not throwing in the towel just yet however, big month for Ah Mau though. Rip and tear big fella.

The bonding session on the cans is a good move. I'm big on the mental release and now the boys can get back on the job.
A bonding session on the cans is not necessarily a bad thing, the players needed a Frank an open discussion about how things have gone wrong and who should be doing what.
Nothing like alcohol to promote “Frank and open discussion”

However, the coach should not be there, he’s not thier mate, he’s not thier bro, he’s thier boss.

Nice try dick head but as he wasn't named in the side your slight is ill founded.
Now tell me that the side named doesn't have players carrying injuries.
Well not really, the fact he wasn’t named in the side was due to injury, so hence the side named reflects our biggest injury concern..

No need to revert to name calling when you’re in the wrong.. It weakens your argument..

Can we focus on the positives people? What you all have evidently missed when viewing the team list is the fact that the club may not be in as much financial strife as originally thought. They have obviously upgraded Mary's keyboard so he now has more than 3 working keys (Ctrl, C & V). That, or he has forked out some of his own money to upgrade it. First he paints the gym, now he is purchasing his own office equipment. Top bloke that Mary guy.

It’s lucky the CV buttons work, he may need them soon, hopefully.

Good idea but Mary thinks he a middle forward off the bench.
What a waste
Mann ruins the combinations of Hunt and Widdop when he comes on.
It allows Hunt and Widdop to go missing in the middle period of the game, not that either of them need much help going missing.
This is not a slight on Mann, he seems to think he needs to be the “everywhere” Mann (geddit) when he gets his limited opportunities.

Just play the poor kid in the centres where he should be.
