Mann ruins the combinations of Hunt and Widdop when he comes on.
It allows Hunt and Widdop to go missing in the middle period of the game, not that either of them need much help going missing.
This is not a slight on Mann, he seems to think he needs to be the “everywhere” Mann (geddit) when he gets his limited opportunities.

Just play the poor kid in the centres where he should be.

It was pointed out during the Warriors game that JDB makes a great tackle a lot of the times and it takes him till the next play to get back to the line because his bloody hip doesn’t work.
This should have been addressed months ago.

I think his footwork and ball play would be wasted on the wing, give Lafai or Aitken the kick up the backside thier form deserves and replace one of them......or both.

To be fair I’ve never rated Lafai, Aitken I like, a lot, but he’s just down on form and confidence, a stint playing against the poor defence in ISP for a few weeks is just what I think he needs.

Vs roosters we ran for more then 230 metres than they concede on average, and made 5 line breaks, they concede just over 3 on average.
Vs warriors we ran for more than 400 metres over their average conceded, without our best forward, and again made 5 line breaks.
Statistically (Ha! You love it, don’t pretend you don’t.) those sort of numbers are very strongly correlated with winning games. If we Keep that up, we will win at least 3 of the last 4. Probably all 4. If...

I've thought for a while now that the whole line about Dragons being tired is bullshit.

I think the team just gives the appearance of being tired because they're not scoring tries like they were at the start of the season.

Look at that Roosters game - we were getting more than enough field position from our forwards. And getting more than enough opportunities for an offload.

I think it's the execution from our backline that lets us down on both sides of the field.

I predicted early on that Graham would become a ball hog and that is becoming more evident.
Some of it is due to other people not putting their hand up and him being there but the idea that he is the best option to get the ball inside the opposition 20 is ludicrous.
He would be better off boring it up the other players and telling them what their role really is rather than trying to do it himself.

Parramatta impressed in a comfortable win over Gold Coast last week, while St George Illawarra were disappointing in their defeat against the Warriors.

Both sides have plenty to play for, with the Eels desperately trying to avoid the wooden spoon and the Dragons looking to cement a spot inside the top four with the finals looming.

Key match-up: Gareth Widdop v Mitchell Moses. The Dragons pivot has arguably been his team's best player all year, while Moses produced one of his better 80-minute performances at ANZ Stadium against the Titans last start. Both players are fiercely competitive, and will be keen to outpoint their opposing five-eighth.

For the Eels to win: Nathan Brown has been a standout after successfully making the transition from prop to lock in recent seasons. He played 80 minutes against the Titans, with his bruising runs up the middle a highlight. His duel versus NSW lock Jack de Belin is worth the price the admission alone.

For the Dragons to win: Hooker Cameron McInnes needs to rediscover the form which had him in the frame for NSW Origin selection a few months ago. The Botany Rams junior could run riot when running at fatigued defenders.

Eels Stat Attack: Clint Gutherson has been one of his team's shining lights in what has been a testing campaign to date. He has made the fullback spot his own, scoring four tries. He also has five try assists to his name and 159 tackles.

Dragons Stat Attack: Widdop has been a point-scoring machine, amassing 191 so far this season. His goal-kicking accuracy is equally impressive, with a competition-high 87% in 2018. Fullback Matt Dufty has caught the eye with 15 line breaks.

And another thing: The teams met back in late June, with the Dragons coming from behind to win 20-18 in Wollongong. Eels players were shattered after the round 16 defeat and will look to square the ledger this weekend.

Despite their comprehensive win over the Gold Coast last weekend, coach Brad Arthur has undergone mass changes to his backline.

Corey Norman has been shifted to fullback, Clint Gutherson moves to the centre, Jarryd Hayne the wing while Bevan French has been named in the reserves.

Jaeman Salmon has been named at five-eighth to fill Norman's void, with Will Smith returning to the Eels' 17 on the interchange.
