Ours are big merkins now .... mobility matters .... nathan hindmarsh wasnt even a modern 2nd rower for half his career

yeah, agreed

back then is was prop takes the first and/or 2nd hit up, then second rows take 3rd/4th hit ups then use the back line, the play makers wouldn't get their hands on the ball till the 4th or 5th play

and yeah, the difference between a prop and second row was mobility

Dick Thornett was a pretty decent athlete, represented Australia in League, Union and Water Polo
