Fittingly, given the important occasion on the weekend we had the pleasure of interviewing Anthony Field on Thursday. Anthony is the Recruitment and Retention Manager at the Eels and is one of the individuals that has been at the heart of Parramatta's resurgent junior programs and elite development pathways.

You can catch the on-field results of Field's handiwork across both Saturday and Sunday. For those with Fox Sports you can watch the Australian Schoolboys take on their New Zealand counterparts at 7:30AM on Saturday. There will be five Eels representing both Australia and New Zealand. Kyle Schneider, Jesse Cronin and Ethan Parry will don the green and gold while Valance Harris and Joe Taipari will pull on the black and white.

Furthermore, Dylan Brown and Oregon Kaufusi would otherwise also be playing for Australia if they didn't have a little matter on Sunday called the Holden Cup Grand Final!

The Tip Sheet - Episode 4: Anthony Field

Episode 1 - Joey Grima
Episode 2 - Peter Gentle
Episode 3 - Steve Murphy
Been down the Coast all weekend and missed this interview till this morning.

Excellent interview really enjoyed it.

Thanks for posting it 40, well done again to the TCT boys think the best interview yet.

A few people on here were a little worried on here when Nolan went back to the evil corporation known as the Donkeys but Im pretty sure i remember it was @Obscene Assassin that said Feildsy will step up and do an excellent job.

He was spot on, a very impressive individual and the results speak for themselves.

I thought we'd go backwards without Nolan.

I'm glad that TCT were able to get this interview with Fieldsy. You only have to hear him speak and you can see he's a genuine person, and it's shown with the players he's recruited they're all very nice young men.

One thing I hope is that now this interview is readily available and the results of the 20's that people stop saying we need a better recruitment manager. As Fieldsy said these results have been a long time in the making, it seems people just wanted a quick fix but the foundations needed to be built.

We still need more fat Salty’s in our system and steal the best 4 junior halfbacks from other clubs.
Other club certainly won't be trying to buy them. Except for the Roosters who signed Jackson Hastings into their top 25 as soon as he turned 18. lol @ the Dragons for not matching that offer!

Im in that group as well Poo.
Very interesting comment re "The Academy " being a mess and Nolan asking Field for help to fit it. I dont remember which head coach was responsible for starting The Academy. Ideas anyone?

Was it the same coach that was smart enough to realise he had no idea so he hired Nolan who also had no idea but was smart enough to hire Field while realising he could continue to bluff the coach into thinking he did have a clue. So we paid 2 positions when we should have only been paying one? Who was that coach? He was on fire.
