Have you seen them train ? Again your speculation doesn't pass the pub test.

Maybe Moses just isn't very good at field goals and does practice a lot at training when they have full opposed sessions. See my statement is just wild speculation like yours.

Yes it does and results make all the difference.

Your statements back up the way the Storm and Panthers play. You should support them, you would be almost 100% right for a change and not sound like a Clown-Dick who sees a totally different game to the rest of us.

I’d be surprised and disappointed if we weren’t running attacking drills. We looked like we had a very clear plan last week with Dylan Brown.

I feel we are structured and planned to a degree. Would be great if we could improve on this and get to the level of the Storm and the Panthers who seem to be able to adapt better during games.

It's not that we don't run attacking drills ffs! That is taking it to ridiculously to far and and silly.

What they are not doing is running training drills that expand on the very basics that they have been doing for 2-3 years now with very little variety or improvement. Sure they change things up a little from year to year but not enough that we see any real mark of improvement or even worse we have no Plan B, C, D e.t.c. when invariably it will be needed. Last weeks game was an example of how and what we train like and it looks great if you have a defensive opposition that allows you to do all the basics that we train for and we can then do a little more and look smart and cluey. But under pressure by a defensive line that moves up and in your face constantly we have no idea how to crack it other then the occasional individual brilliance from Moses chip kicks for example or a player or two that has a moment that surprises the defense. But rarely can I remember our playmakers using their heads and all our players knowing and responding accordingly to break such a team down, finding its weakness and successfully exploiting it, like you see the Panthers and Storm do and the commentators waxing lyrical about how well coached they are.

I know we can lift for a game or two against the better teams and really play tough bash and barge footy with a little class at the end of it, but that is all we have been able to do at best because that type of footy against the teams that can keep up with you is very hard to sustain unless you have smarts rolled in with it. Players need to train for that for thousands of hours in game simulated training sessions and then during games throughout the season to bed it all down.

I believe we don't do anywhere near enough of that type of training and I have heard enough of what the players say here and there to believe that that is true and I just need to look at the way we play the game and what we DON'T do to know I am right.

I’m sure late in 2020 or 2021 we were struggling to score points late in the season and our attack was worse than aids. BA (I’m sure) was quoted as saying that the team wasn’t focusing much on attack as they were focusing on defense.

The Storm and Panthers also have the best squads. It’s not f**king tactics that decide who’s the best, and there’s no foregone conclusions, or these clubs would beat us every time.

In fairness think you are looking at outcomes and largely speculating about causes.

None of us know what attacking drills they are running at training and to express unwavering confidence in this minus any real knowledge of what goes on seems a bit foolish.

If someone presented me with this degree of thinking at work when preparing a business case I’d be recommending that they go back to the drawing board.

However, I do agree that the outcomes could be improved. Our attack is often one dimensional and we don’t have the subtlety or variability of Melbourne or Penrith.

There’s no reliable way to beat the better teams 3-4 weeks in a row. That’s why they’re the better teams. There’s no tactical trick that will do it. The best you can hope for is to be as good as them and then you have a 50% chance of beating them. Over two games that’s a 25% chance of winning both. Over three games against equal opponents you’re a 1-in-8 (12.5%) chance of winning all three games. You think some sneaky tactic will turn that into 100% chance? You’ve been watching too many family movies from the 80s.

Typical crappy obfuscation statement by you again.

No one is talking of a tricky or sneaky tactic. I am referring to proper thousands of hours of training structures and tactical plays. Not out of the box tricky sh*t mate. But whatever. We are an average bunch of merkin players that have very little intellect or ability by your reckoning so no amount of training will ever fix that right?

Or is it the hours of training that has been put in them to get them to the standard that makes them the best players mate?

Example Papenhuyzen and Hughes two spine players that nearly didn't make it even with their natural talents. One was even offered to other clubs, but then they put their heads down and worked harder in a system that gives you all the knowledge and training in the world if you can handle it and guess what? Once they learnt all the subtleties and nuances that their positions demand they became consistent...

CHAPIONS EMERGED!

And they are still learning by no account are they the final product yet, but the are almost there.

Cronk said he was impressed that we didn’t go away from what works, which is what we usually do after getting a lead. So it’s not the tactics it’s the leadership and concentration from our senior players.

That is the key. You can actually see when we are under the pump (especially the Tigers game) Gutho was not composed. You will notice that he overplays his hand and gets emotional. Which is why having Paulo as a co-captain is a great decision.

I was having a look at our numbers a decade ago.

Back in 2012 Parramatta had just 11,012 members.

So in 10 years we have shot up to over 32k with the next goal getting to 35k then i suppose 40k.

Imagine if we can win a comp there will be another spike
The greatest thing that ever happened to our club since 1986 is the end of all this shit. As part of the grand plan of the footy gods, Sharpie took us into Administration, we got Max and we emerged from the cocoon a new club.

Fairfax Media reports the ParraFirst ticket successfully took control of the club on Saturday night with Robert Sassen and Eric Grothe snr the only incumbent board members believed to have retained their positions.

Spagnolo, Mario Libertini, Lyn Wallace, Sid Kelly and Joe Saad have been replaced on the board with Sharp and fellow ParraFirst candidates Lawrence Shepherd, Peter Serrao, Chiang Lim and Tom Issa replacing them.

The ParraFirst faction will hold a 5-2 balance of power in the new-look Eels boardroom.peFinal voting will be ratified on Sunday with the new board expected to be inducted at Monday night's annual general meeting.
