And without improving that other stuff we likely won't get one of the best coaches. When was the last time we signed an elite coach in high demand? 1981? You have to ask why. It's not like the various people running the club over the years haven't known which coaches have gotten the best results. We signed Brian Smith who wasn't-quite-great (and was good enough for Politis years later) plus we signed a couple of premiership winners in Hagan and Stuart. Do you think none of the execs rated coaches like Gould, Bennett and Bellamy? Hasler won two premierships and made another three grand finals. Do you think our decision makers were unaware of his ability?
