No it came out a couple of years ago that we had some TPAs. There was a graph showing Melbourne blowing every other merkin out of the water. We had less than the big clubs but it was certainly more than zero.

But also, the only TPAs that matter are the ones that disappear if the player goes to a different club. They’re technically illegal but very hard to prove. Would Matterson keep these deals if he signed elsewhere? Matterson is quite marketable but really we don’t know if they’re contingent on his association with our club. Maybe he got these TPAs the legit way. If so they don’t provide us any advantage.
