He returned to Newcastle actually and has been playing in the local Newcastle comp for the past few weeks. But yes, he returned because he wanted to "personally" sign his new contract....

Freshy obviously got the shits being 20+ position in the Tits roster, so he’s moved the ESL to be top 17. It’s a conundrum for players like him, Carty etc. Clubs like having experience deep into their roster and I guess it takes a certain type of player who is comfortable being that guy and play that role.

And he was here for 5 years.

What changed on the GC was it the environment or culture inside the club.

The fact they were losing and coming last and a basketcase from the outside looking in might have something to do with it.

Maybe our environment allows players to be happy being 2nd fiddle compared to other clubs. As Smith was happy with his role under BA.
