The most I got out of that was how clueless 60’s is, “he’s earn’t his spot apparently lol”

He was the one dribbling all pre season he was a must selection. Just because you run your own website doesn’t mean you have a clue about football. He should run for the CEO’s job next he’s about as qualified as the gimp in there now.
What different qualifications would you like of the CEO though?

Having a clue would be a good start, he earn’t his job as much as Jakey has.

The Nepotism Eels should be our new club name.
A clue about what? I suspect it could be the most qualified CEO in the NRL, but I guess it depends what you want him to have a clue about.

It does make them gutless because they were doing it from the anonymity and safety of the mob.

It's sport mate.

If you can't cop a boo then you shouldn't bask in a cheer. It's the two sides of the same coin.

And we as fans love it. It's called passion.

Not surprised you don't approve though Pou, you don't have any. Calm mediocrity and ploddness is your go.

Cauldron stuff? Nah you just don't get it.

I am a strident critic of Brad Arthur and I firmly believe that his selection of his son is problematic for strategic reasons and also seems to have an effect on team balance and harmony. It is a waste of a bench spot and is almost certainly a result of nepotism - given that there are countless better utility options than Jakob Arthur.

But booing the kid for just being there is unacceptable.

I couldn't take my kids on Thursday ( horrible timeslot for school aged children) but I took them to the Warriors game and thought the booing was over the top at that game.

I recognise the "I paid my money" argument - but that really only extends to performance issues.

In short, the booing is inexcusable.

The board and CEO are doing a f**ken awesome job, they are no longer listening to fans or the media to make short term, irrational and emotional decisions……

that’s because many fans have been content with finishing 5-8th spot and it’s masked up many issues, including BA’s coaching and tactics. He should never of been extended last time.

let’s see if we miss the semis, with mounting pressure if the board continue doing an ‘awesome job’

Amazing all the talk is about JA being on the bench (and no, I wouIdn’t pick him….), is like the reason we gave a shit house performance and lost to the broncos…..

But no talk about our starting middles Paulo, RCG, Mahoney and Matterson all having average games and being the major reason we lost (and yes this is on BA)……but but but JA is on the bench….

Because when certain people share an opinion with the loudest idiots in the room its makes them feel validated and provides them with a warped sense of belonging and being "right". Even when it is at the expense of a 19 year old Teenager - the weaker/easier target.

On a separate note, what do people think would be an acceptable way for the fans to express their displeasure with this repeatedly terrible selection?

Is it suggested that fans forfeit their memberships or not go to games to express their disagreement? To me these types of comments (and I have heard them and read similar in this very thread) are an invitation for brinkmanship and insult to fans - it is almost like saying that the fans don't matter - or worse, only those who support the coach's every strategy should go to games.

I get this isn't a democracy and that Brad is the man at the helm, but surely he must see the writing on the wall at some point that his bench management and selections are diabolical? Because if he is too stubborn to accept or countenance a countering view, then it is one more reason for him to go.

As for the fans booing Jakob, can anyone suggest a more constructive or acceptable outlet for their understandable frustration?

Such a simple minded assessment.

The reason people are focusing on the selection of Jakob Arthur is that it is obvious to anyone with football knowledge that this has stuffed the bench rotation, the bench impact and apparently the team harmony!

there are other issues but this is a big one - and anyone who can't see that is blinded by their need to win the "internet arguments" over Brad Arthur

So I am going to say you don't...

Nope but I don't pretend I could do a better job and look like a goose.
I’ve never claimed to be qualified, but the guy in charge has no place being in the job and the way he got the job stinks.

The lack of RL smarts between him and the board is embarrassing, apparently he instigated the probe into the booing lol. Surely that’s the least of a CEO’s and clubs problems atm?? On field performance should be paramount???
