Not saying it suits Aukafolau but I think NFL suits a type of “failed” rugby league player. Mailata being the prototypical “failure”.
That’s players who are essentially too big to make it as NRL players but suits them to being line players in NFL, especially tackles, where there skill in tackles gives them an advantage.
There's way more to just being big, though:
* knowing whether to block the A, B, or C gap;
* being able to recognise a blitz;
* blocking for a run VS blocking for a pass (different skills required)
* learning how to block without holding;
* learning the offensive play book, and all audibles
Being physically gifted is not enough, imo.
