I do martial arts and intent makes a big difference.

A defensive mindset compared to an attacking aggressive mindset can change how you use the 104kg.

For mine Makatoa is defensive whereas Nathan is down right aggressive and so 104kg coming at you with intent is different
I would have NBrown in the side in a heartbeat. But I wouldn't have the imitation that has been plodding around all of the season or longer. We have been going well with Nuikore starting games - why cahnge and put him in the centre

🤨🤨🤨🤨

Benji Marshall faces the first crucial test of his leadership and diplomacy skills in coming weeks.

Benji is keen to bring local junior Mitchell Moses back to the Tigers from Parramatta and sees him as the answer to the club's play-making problems.

But some senior officials at the Tigers don't want Moses back - he wasn't a good fit at the club in his first stint there and he isn't a popular figure with Tigers players.

Only a few weeks back, he took a blatant dive when barely touched by Tigers debutant Justin Matamua, who was promptly sent to the sin bin and placed on report … and subsequently cleared.

Benji must weigh-up the other aspects that go into signing a player besides ability - the great coaches mould teams built on harmony and comradeship as well as talent.

Moses, meanwhile, has put talks with the Eels on hold until after the club finishes its playing commitments, and there is a big chance he will head to the November 1 negotiations deadline day unsigned.

There is zero chance that he will leave

I’d say his chances of leaving are slightly higher than zero. But if he does ever go it won’t be to the Tigers.
We see if Munster goes to Dolphins. Then what happens to Dylan Brown (Storm ?), then what happens to Moses.

If we can only keep one, who do you keep ? Brown because of his age and upside ? Moses because good 7s are as rare as hens teeth ?

Also, do you set your walk away limit at $1M each ? Or do you keep going up when the shit clubs start throwing half their cap around ?

So Buzz last night suggested Parra has some well paid players signed and that may be an issue. I know he goes to lunch with a uncle Nick, but no one states Tedesco, Sualii, Manu, Tupou, Keary, Walker, Radley, Crichton, JWH and then they add The Cheese. Strange how they never want to suggest cap issues at Roosters. It was out there briefly when they seemed to struggle to get Crichton to sign and registered, then guess what never mentioned again.

Like their NRLW team, full of stars all playing for peanuts , such an anomaly that the media seem somewhat afraid to talk, about. Then again, just retired Roosters players signed to 2GB , a Channel 9 company, coincidence?

Well when you have former players actually taking the piss about the Roosters salary cap you know that something goes on...

You also have players continue to be on the coaching staff once they retire as well as golf days...

As you say Nick pays for lunch why would they bag the Roosters with the free lunches on offer.

Uncle Nick is a regular at Bar reggio and I admit the food there is awesome.

100%, even Braith on 360 took the piss out of the roosters cap.

Your arguments that Brown cannot play prop make 0 sense. What is the difference? You keep saying certain locks can play prop but I don't believe you've ever stated the difference
For me it depends on how the team plays footy.

For example sides like us / panthers, “props” generally take the first hit up (after the backs have done their hit ups)…..then the lock generally takes the one towards the end to “ball play” …I doubt Yeo or Matterson (Paulo generally ball plays when Matterson isn’t on) would take many on the first couple of hit ups…

there are lots of other “locks” who wouIdnt be able to play “prop” either….be interesting to see what hit up generally Cotter takes this week….hopefully it’s the first couple…or is it after JT and McLean

On Nrown, yeah he is better then Maka, but I doubt he wouId be that great taking the early prop” hit ups, of course he would be able to do it. But don’t think he would be better then Kaufusi/Marata (other props, that take early hit ups.) and it’s not the size issue, but his running style. He is best running using his leg speed when there is some room.

Additionally Papa / lane also do early set hit ups too…

Re, Maka, BA spoke about “risk assessment”, the other week…I reckon that’s the reason he is in the side. He can cover prop, lock (he ball plays in NSW cup) and edge (he spent time them earlier in the year I think covering a HIA/injury). Plus can play big minutes / defensively Strong…he gives a good coverage to cover a lot of sceranios….

thus I don’t think Nrown is completing against Maka for a spot but Kaufusi / Marata ……and they are better at the “prop” role the eels play then Nrown is…,

anyhow I am probably wrong….just my opinion on the info I have seen/read.
