Why Carayannis believes Parramatta will miss finals again in 2024
“That’s a bit of a problem for them."www.sen.com.au
Some new guy.
Some new guy.
think Matto is better off the bench than starting due his versatility, can see us starting with
Lane
Carty
Hop
Hands/Lussick
Joffa
Matto
Greig
He only has to beat Simonsson.Sounds like Morgan Harper is in the frame to play first grade.... Thought he was signed to play reserve grade.... Oh well....
I guess Matto's going in the middle no matter who comes off... Based on last year I think Junior would need to be first one off, but he did look fitter in that wedding photo?Agree on Matto starting on the bench.
Does he come on for Hopgood Paulo or Reg after 20 minutes?
Cayayannis is an idiot. Sounds like a pre pubescent boy on the radio..
We missed the finals due to injuries and suspensions. We don't miss Reg and Paulo this year we make the top 4.
Hooker is better this year with Hands and Lussick.
Gutho having his knee cleaned up and Brown not touching anyone up will also help us go better.
Availability is as important as new signings for the Eels, by the way, not sure the Riff have improved and in essence have lost some very important attacking players who will make the season more difficult. Just a reminder, the Riff were down a few players in the last game of the regular season and the result wasn’t favourableI have you finishing lower on the table too, I don't think you have improved on paper.
Who drops out of the 8 Canberra only
Dolphins have added Herbie and Flegler
Manly with a fit Turbo
Souffs at full strength beats most teams
That makes it difficult in that middle part of the table

Raiders, Knights will have a more difficult time making the 8, and Parra won’t have a god awful draw that made 2023 the most difficult in the comp. Not as pessimistic you make it, see what happens.
Not intended to be an argument, but let’s see regarding development:-Availability will help for sure, I am sure every team outside of the Dragons would be thinking the same.
It is a sore point on here but how many players does Arthur develop?
The only one still around from that gun NYC team a few years back is Brown, To be fair he is an elite half. Outside of him?
Most guys come across as pretty handy players already, To be top 4 Dunster/Russell need to take a leap forward.
Too many holes needing to be filled particularly in the backline but I just too many teams being better. There is about 10 teams that look good enough for the top 4 on paper.
Being under the radar might be a good thing for the squa
Not intended to be an argument, but let’s see regarding development:-
Gutherson
Penisini
Cartwright
Mahoney
Nikore
Kaufusi
Papali’i
Russell
there are others, most are actually coming through in the Flegg etc
There is a lot of chatter about Arthur, but if we are honest, Cleary is benefitting from the structure etc set up by Cameron, Jones and dare I mention the name Gould. Yep, Eels are behind the Riff in that respect, but starting to develop the system , lots of time needed to overcome the problems previous admin and coaches put up.
Think everyone will agree that Dolphins have smashed the off season player market with those signings. Makes it interesting as Broncos will be weaker, and not sure how Souffs will go if they have a bad patch, something not quite right as they have pretty good attacking roster.I have no doubt he is benefiting from that to fair most coaches would do well in such a structure.
Point I was making is I don't see similar structures in place to improve particularly the new guys over say what Bennett will do with another year with that Dolphins squad
