In games we conceded 30+, we didn’t lose because of goalkicking
Fine, his goal kicking was 80% in 2023. Stats says so.

The Eels had a 70% win record with Paul Carriage in 1998. He obviously had a great year. Stats says so.

Breaking down to individual games or efforts in games, clearly doesn’t tell the full story.

You want to break down to individual efforts in games, in the Sharks game we had 32 missed tackles and 15 errors. Moses kicking a couple of conversions would’ve papered over those

It was 5 tries a piece. They kicked 5 from 5 and we kicked 3 from 5.

We scrambled enough to win the match. You don’t have to win every stat, but scoring more points is one of those crucial ones.

I'd say the Sharks were lucky to kick 5 from 5. That game was a lottery and we lost. If we'd won we would've played finals.

Maybe this mysterious "system" that pre-dates and out-lasts ten year head coaches is somehow the job of that bunch of random men in suits that meet once a month and change positions every three years... that's make sense!

I'm sure I've heard head coaches talk about their systems, or the system they'll bring into their new clubs - but at Parra for some reason "the system" is never the coach's fault or responsibility...
Im sure if you asked BA he would reckon its his responsibility.

You need to ask yourself. If Cleary is so good, why did he win f**k all for the first 15 years of his career.
No. Just no....

Who's responsible for creating, implementing, improving and maintaining "the system", if not the head coach (of 10-12 years)?

Depends on the systems you are talking about or is it whining about?

Is it junior development
Recruitment
Coaching
Grass routes players & coaches
first grade
reserve grade

Ivan Cleary got f**ked off from the panthers for a few seasons their systems didn't fall to pieces in that time because he wasn't there. Nathan didn't stop developing into the best player in the game because Ivan wasn't there along with all the other players.

OK... and who is it then at the Eels exactly, if we know somehow who everyone who is (and isn't) responsible of gets credit for the Panthers' entire set-up?

Because I have NFI what you are smoking I asked my mate Chat gtp to clarify what you want..

Sure, I’ll try to explain the forum post from a rugby league perspective. The post is asking who is responsible for the success of the Panthers, a team that won the NRL premiership in 2022 and 2023. The post is also implying that the Eels, another team in the NRL, are somehow involved in the Panthers’ achievements.

The post is based on some assumptions and opinions that may not be accurate or fair. For example, the post suggests that the Panthers have a strong set-up that includes players like Nathan Cleary, Jarome Luai, Brian To’o, and Scott Sorensen. However, these players are not necessarily responsible for everything that happens on and off the field. They are part of a team that has a coach (Ivan Cleary), a manager (Brad Arthur), and other staff members who support them and make decisions for them.

The post also implies that the Eels have some connection or influence over the Panthers. This could be because of their rivalry, their history, or their current performance. However, there is no evidence or reason to believe that this is true. The Eels and the Panthers are two different teams with different goals and strategies. They may compete against each other in some games, but they also respect each other as professional athletes.

Therefore, the forum post is not based on facts or logic, but on speculation and bias. It does not acknowledge or appreciate the contributions of all parties involved in rugby league, such as players, coaches, managers, fans, sponsors, media, etc. It only focuses on one team (the Panthers) and one aspect (the set-up) of their success.
