Going off that list.

There isn't much success stories

Madge is it and BA would be 2nd it's quite scary actually and reinforces my view.

Players and coaches don't necessarily translate success at other clubs because Melbourne is just a well built machine that is hard to replicate elsewhere. Especially if that's the coaches philosophy.

Dean Pay - Failed at the Bulldogs didn't really get close to the finals was probably hard done by. But he did have 3 years to turn things around.

Steve Kearney - Failed at the warriors and took Parramatta to there 1st spoon in 40 years.

Anthony Seibold - Took Brisbane to a wooden spoon and jury is out for his manly stint.

Adam O'Brien - An inferior version of BA won't survive the next 18 months.

Kevin Walters - Has the benefit of coaching a powerhouse in the Broncos and players have stated Adam Reynolds is the main driver at training at coaching. Players don't just let they slip accidentally on podcasts.

Michael Maguire - Won a comp at Souths with a gold plated roster built for him by Russell and Richo. Got punted 3 years after winning a comp and reinforced at the Tigers he has a shelf life and can't develop talent.
How is that a fail?

That's 7 that have gone on to coach full-time (Madge, BA, Walters, Pay, Kearney, Seibold, O'Brien) at other clubs...5 have made finals, 3 have made GF and 1 has won a comp. 2 have failed to make the finals, but I reckon Pay did a pretty decent job with what he had (Barrett also failed there, while CC failed in his first year too, but has had the luck of that Gus).

just like we underestimate how hard it is to become an NRL player the same applies to coaching.

Really what other club / coach has had understudies produce better?

From Hannay to Cheika. I think we need a massive change. We need a change at a psychological level and Cheika provides this more than anyone else.

Get him some assistants with NRL experience and we are set. Sack everyone else from MON down.

Absolutely we're a club in need of a rebuild. Anyone that thinks ba left the club in a great place are either tct tragics or utterly delllusional.

But why were you so keen on Madge though it never made any sense.

Madge couldn't rebuild shit.

Just because he won a comp doesn't mean he can rebuild clubs and rosters.

I'm not overly excited about the people who are left in the coaching conversation.
Madge did unlock something in Dbrown though. He played his best football under Madge.

I wonder if they can wire a light?
I’ve been watching your wiring for years and can confidently say you’ve gone stale. Your electrical work isn’t keeping up with modern standards and you don’t even realise it. Everyone on social media knows more about it than you do these days.

It’s not the coach’s job to leave the team in any state. He is there to coach the team he’s given. It is the responsibility of other members of the football department to manage the squad succession aspects.

I agree. But I have a good mouth and enough skills to get by so convinced a lot of people that my work is worth more then others. And that's why I am a powerful millionaire

Ok so Sarantinos and McElduff were lying when they answered media questions on who had the biggest say in roster management Pau Pau?
Is that what you're saying mate ?
You're just another ba sympathiser.
You're just all talk and fluff mate.
Go back and watch the interview champ.

They didn’t even need to be lying to be deceptive about that. If five merkins (for example) had input into the process it doesn’t matter who had the biggest say. They still needed to achieve consensus. You’d expect the others to listen to the coach but in the end the team will still be there after he is gone, and the other members know it. That’s why most coaches don’t do recruitment and retention in the modern game.
