Every side has injuries during the year.
Do they all make the finals every year? Do they all make the finals even half the time? When in the club’s history have we ever had a squad capable of making the finals more than five years in a row? I reckon it hasn’t happened since 1986. Might’ve been ‘02, when we lost more games than we won.
Never heard of a side that goes thru a season I jury free. This year The Storm have missed their best player for most the season and had a terrible run with i juries this season and so has the Panthers missing Nathan and parting with May. Both also have had to battle with origin periods a lot worse then us last.
Even the Panthers have only made the finals four years in a row. This year will be five. It remains to be seen whether they are up there with the Roosters (currently seven consecutive years in the finals). They certainly aren’t on par with the Storm, who have made the finals every year since 2010, when St George were lucky not to face them.

Don’t compare us to these huge clubs. They obviously have advantages unavailable to the rest of us.
In 2022 Souths,Storm and Roosters entered the finals series crippled by injuries. And with that luck we made the grand final.
Every club that makes a grand final has some luck.

We are a huge club ffs.. Just poorly run

Every club makes a grand final with luck..

The teams that win it make their own luck..

And wtf you stab a truth teller in the back?

Smashes the loafers like there is no tomorrow and that’s too hard for your board?

Takes the side of the long suffering fan, the footy impoverished, gruel swallowing beanie wearing common person as against the glittering celebrity might of the greedy players.

What more could he do?

ffs revisionists of the bald, pork swordage all, give us a break, 52% success rate.

Huge clubs aren’t poorly run. If they were they wouldn’t be huge.

Winning any big game takes luck. You’re not up against the teams from the bottom of the table. On the day anything can happen. Sometimes you’re up against the eighth placed team, sometimes you are the eighth placed team. It’s very exciting.

Made 6 final series in a row 97-2002
You could say we were a big club. Shortly after that we were overtaken by Melbourne and Easts. Souths started their rise. Even Manly were pretty big before Delmege sold his interest to the Penn family. Penrith got a great head start with their massive loan from Packer. It’s truly all about resources. We just couldn’t keep up after the NRL era took off.

OK. I guess it's black and white and injuries and suspension to key players have nothing to do with the results.
He failed because he built a squad that couldnt cope with the level of injuries and suspensions we suffered in 2023 and that is all on him, no one else.
He failed because he built a forward pack not suited to the modern game. He failed because he bought an aged broken down Pom. He failed because he gave the keys for our attack to Trent Barrett and then after a few tight losses he goes back to Bald Ball.

He also failed because last year we didn’t move a rope and steal a bag. He rectified that this year and it has worked a treat.

They are huge but they’re not poorly run. They have the most talented squad in the NRL ffs. You don’t get that by accident.
They literally did get here by accident. They let go of Reece Walsh and only got him back because he wanted to come back to QLD to be with his child. Otherwise he’s still at the warriors. Souths stupidly (in hindsight) decided to invest in Ilias instead of Reynolds who was served to the Broncos on a platter. Take those two out and they’re not a factor in the premiership.

Actually I slept on it and I think you're right. A coach doesn't make a difference. You don't even need one really.

Broncos with the talent they have, should be making top 6 more often than not.

Maybe they actually have a coaching problem?
I think they probably do. Does anyone think Walters is a good coach? His career win rate is worse than Brad Arthur’s, at a much bigger club.

Unlike every other club who doesn’t need their halfback or their best attacking player. The Broncos also have the best forward in the game and another who is in the top half dozen.
