Wayne Bennett. Best option available!

If not maybe Dean Young or Macguire

I’d take Holbrook just to give a freshening up to structures and voices. Definitely change MON and Rogers and get someone who actually gets on with player managers and can talk the opportunities up to prospective targets. That ain’t happening currently.

Forgot about Michael Cheika.

What is he doing these days is he still coaching Argentina in the rugby.

Cheika would bring PR, sponsors & interest into the joint straight away. We are big club and i reckon Cheika would love the potential with the squad we have the relationship he has built with Moses already and the fact we are a big sydney club playing in a world class stadium.

Don't be fooled by his rugby background he is a smart man and been assistant at the chooks and coached Lebanon in the World cup.

Anyway i am sure re-active board wouldn't even interview him.

But if Moses is our future for the next 5-6 years why not bring in a coach he already trusts.

Could we do any worse then the Cheik ???

Bennett and Slater are not realistic, so no point talking unicorns and rainbows

I’m still adamant BA will be here in 2025 as the board won’t pay him out, but in the very off chance they grow balls, the options are

Trent Barrett
Dean Young
Justin Holbrook
Madge Maguire (but may not want to give up nsw)
Geoff Toovey
Walker Brothers
Garth Brennan
Ben Hornby
John Cartwright
Jason Taylor
Josh Hannay
Jim Dymock
Jason Riles
Ryan Carr
John Morris
Jason Demetriou (probably available)

Why not line him up for 2026 now, and give him a go. Just needs a league-experienced HOF to work alongside him I reckon.

And Cheila could maybe step in at short notice for 2025, if BA does a Brian Smith and walks early after finding out he won't be extended yet again...

I actually think the best available option might be Jason Demetriou. I think he has been held to ransom by Lattrell Michell and Cody Walker. That whole team dynamic seems to revolve around those two - especially Mitchell. He holds great political power while providing f**k all to the team. Imagine the political pressure Demetriou would cop if he dropped Latrell to reserve grade or shifted him to centre? I think Demetriou is a good coach who is totally hamstrung at present. He'd do good at Parra.

My second pick might be John Morris. And then possibly Holbrook - although he doesn't excite me.
