I reckon I've been hearing similar things to Avenger. He can't really win here because if he posts details they get deleted and he gets a warning or a ban. So it's easier if he just deletes posts and/or says nothing.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if avenger is spot on about Foran. But until we hear the details, and or a police investigation is concluded, the club can only support him, including us fans. This season has taken its toll on everyone, and I guess avenger is frustrated like the rest of us. Let's hope Foran pulls Thru all this and is back bigger and better than ever in 2017!

And you guys wonder why we have been a shambles since Brian Smith left. I give up.

I agree that ideally you wouldn't bring such 'risks' to the club, nor would you keep them any longer than you have to. But while they're here they are investment you may as well look after as best you can. Thanks to the salary cap you're stuck with them until their contract expires.

I don't know the whole Corey Norman situation (nor, I suspect, do you) but I would lean towards withdrawing the current offer or at least significantly lowering it to accomodate the new risk assessment. As for Foran, he is here for another three years if he wants to be. We need to hope he misses less games over the next few years, but I've been happy with his form on the field. His bin excellent!

And I think that is what people are forgetting - while he has definitely had some distractions off the field, DESPITE these Foran's on field performances have been exactly what we have been missing and the exact opposite of what we had from Sandow for the previous few years.

He missed 3 games in the first 12 rounds (1 to injury and 2 as a result of his marriage/relationship breakup) and we are 6 and 3 with him in the side vs 1 and 2 without him.

I cannot believe some of the shit I have read on here re Foran.

Firstly the timing of it is horrible along with everything else so naturally everyone wants to jump
at what they read and crucify the poor bloke.

Secondly, people on here have a woody for Hayne so they see this as a way of getting Hayne back, lets f**k Foran off and get the guy who believes his done it all but never delivered us a title. The first 9 rounds of this year is the best we have looked in nearly 10 years, Foran and Norman both massive parts of that. I'd say BA finally getting his team and the players he wants was a huge part of that.

Thirdly the break up of his marriage is no ones fault how the hell was the club or BA suppose to know about that happening and all the shit after it?

Some on here clearly have no idea about mental health issues, if he had this issues from the start which I have heard he has and he was performing like he was well his done exceptionally well to battle through, everyone is quick to crucify the guy cause he isn't side stepping 13 players and running 100metres to score a try, wake up.

Him being out for the season is just icing on the cake to this whole f**king shambles going on at the club, everything is speculation, who cares what he does with his money and betting, honestly and is it illegal? No.

When he was at Manly and mentally stable, none of these things were issue, now that his at Parramatta and we are in the predicament we are in everything is magnified.

If people really believe Hayne is our saviour and booting Foran and/or Norman to the curb is the answer, then I am f**king done, when Hayne was he it really worked for us being a one man band didn't it?

Well said....

 Massive meltdown. From someone who said they just wanted to share and discuss info, like mates discussing footy-related info at a pub.

Pity one of the mates couldn't cop that people disagreed with his opinion... not really a top night out at the "pub", when someone throws a tanty - and individualy deletes their all of their discussion posts

I understand that people have vastly different opinions on the Foran thing. And I can see where most people are coming from. I'd just suggest that people err on the side of caution when diving into the mental illness side of the debate. It's not a nice feeling to find that things were much worse for someone than you had imagined.....even if they are just a bloke on a footy team.

Foran has been everything we would have hoped when fit.

His unavailability has been due to an extremely unusual personal issue which will not recur and two injuries (neither of which were issues when we signed him).

And the stories suggest that Hanson has been mates with Andrew around throughout his career, as well as watmough the Stewarts and Foran at manly.

Didn't ever do those blokes much career harm that I can see

I'm glad he is off the prescription drugs...

I'm glad he is off the prescription drugs...

If, if, if Foran has a problem with prescription drugs as has been alleged, I don't think it would be a new thing in 2016 for him - and yet he managed to play 19 games last year and perform as one of the best halves in the comp. The difference this year is an unpleasant change in his relationship status which doesn't happen every week/month/year.

I get you don't think he is suitable captain material because of his off-field issues but what impact do/have these issues have on his performance on the field?

And exactly what problem does he allegedly have with prescription drugs - abuse, addiction??

I think you dislike Foran more than Avenger.......did he cut your grass or something?

I don't think a bloke with a drug problem should be getting paid a million bucks and be captain of Parra. How do we know they won't surface again? There were stories doing the rounds all off season. Then he OD's during the season.

It leads to him being on the field less.

I'd say an overdose is classified as abuse, wouldn't you?
