The convo would go a little something like this...

KF - I'm willing to do whatever it takes to keep this family together baby.
RP - Well I'm glad to hear it Keiran
KF - Yep, I've told Brad Arthur I'm quitting footy and I'm going to make this work
RP - Ummm. OK. But do you get a pay out?
KF - Oh I dunno Hon, but what does it matter. As long as we're together. If we need to sell our place at Freshwater and move to Raby, or Shalvey, then that's what we'll do. Money comes and goes but our love is here to stay babe

RP - Get Back to training Keiran.

Ha ha so true!!

His Dad makes 20 million a year, I'm sure the family gets by without him having to make a mill.

Yes I am sure that Dad has a family trust set up and that working after footy is not something that the Foran sons will need to worry about. No wonder "colourful racing identities" congregate around them both.

They are also on the sidelines more often than Hayne ever was since being with us, plus played in top 4 Manly sides throughout their career. Hayne was our lone wolf on the paddock

IMO Hayne would be a sensation if he came back to us considering its the best Parra squad he would have played in

Would we still be able to keep a good squad if Hayne came back? We'll struggle to keep them even without him.

I think I've figured out the real underlying reason behind Avengers Foran hate.

He sees it as an either or situation, in his opinion we cannot have both Hayne and Foran, it's one or the other.

Now, as he obviously has blinkers on for Hayne, He's gonna choose Hayne over anyone else. And he sees Foran as a barrier to Hayne's return, so Foran has to go. To justify this, he craps on about how useless Foran is, and that we shouldn't have singed him because it means we can't sign Hayne now (that's the part he doesn't say).

Comparing Hayne and Foran is silly IMO. It's like comparing a drill to a hammer, both are useful and have value, but you can't drill a hole with a hammer, and you can't bang in a nail with a drill (not effectively, anyways).

Would I swap Foran for Hayne? Frankly, no. In my opinion, I feel that Hayne owes it to us that if he were to come back, he should take whatever we can afford in order to keep the rest of the squad intact, and then be the biggest god damned team player the NRL has ever seen.

How and why he did it is irrelevant, he buggered off on us when we needed him. That left a bruise on lots of fans, and he needs make a gesture to make it right.

Now, before you jump on me, I love Hayne too, one of the best to play for the Eels, and the NRL in general, his natural talent is mind blowing. I rate him over 99% of players.

If he wants to prove to us that he truly loves the club, come back on what we can afford until we can upgrade him later.
Well, Hayne can pay us back by taking a low contract and a bunch of legal TPAs.

That's not why he doesn't rate Foran.

Seems true enough but they're hardly killing it at Manly. What has your club ever achieved without Des Hasler?

I support Penrith buddy, we can compare records for the last 30 years if you want but it is pretty ugly viewing on both sides despite there being a clear winner.

Anyway this Foran situation is very unfortunate, I don't really think its Parras fault but from a rival fans POV its kind of amusing in a sad way if that makes sense.

As long as we're still winning games I don't really give a f**k. Unlike many fans I think the club is bigger than one player, and we've proven we don't need Foran. Or Hayne.

Nobody here has ever put any player before the club. That's just a silly comment. Our forwards and defence have been the difference this year. First time we have had a positive differential at this time of the year since at least 2007.
