I'll give you this Avenger - you don't do things in half measures. Either someone is the greatest ever or they are a complete f**kbag. There are no in betweens.

He's real good at taking sides. Less good at holding balanced views.

Anyway f**k you Gary. You're a jerk.

All this shit with Foran is starting to smell like the Sandow saga. He was the saviour too. Best signing ever according to the great Nathan Cayless. All of us gave him time. We paid the freight and tried to get him better. It turned to shit, expensive shit. Then most of us turned against him. I'm just showing you a possible glimpse of the future with our latest saviour.

The difference with Sandow was his defence wasn't up to NRL standard. Coupled with playing in an ordinary team this made him a massive scapegoat. But his off field issues didn't stop him being one of our best attacking players.

Similarly, Foran has been one of our best when he took the field.

Isn't it great that when the captain takes the field and is one of the best players we have that his game allows another of our best to improve his game.
Not knocking Foran just saying he was playing second fiddle to Corey, hey it was working. Norman is one of the form players in the comp let alone at Parra, same as Mau,

LOL, I knew what you were saying - was just taking the opportunity to highlight that Foran hasn't been a dud on the field and that he adds value to the TEAM game.

The difference in our defence was light and day, let alone anything else he brought to the table.

Just sick to death of pandering to these 'superstars.' Even the Semi situation shits me (assuming he wants out). Michael Cronin used to look people in the eye. Shake hands and make a promise. Apparently he never signed a contract. None of this clause in the contract if coaches leave. None of that shit. You reckon he never had any problems? Sterlo I remember went through a nasty break up with that long term English partner he had. Did it detract from his performances? Never. Currently Beau Scott has a child with some special needs. Trust me the man is stressed. Had better offers but needed to be closer to Westmead Childrens Hospital. Have you heard anything? Is arguably in career best form.

Now that's the type of player I want at my club and warrants the captaincy. Not some son of a multi millionaire with questionable friends and habits.

The type of player that you also want at our club is someone who left us high and dry to achieve one of his 300 dreams. That's who we should throw the bank at, cause it worked in the past.

DCE was a lot more effective when Foran was in the side as well. He seemed to have a lot more time and space, just like Norman this year.

Which games has Norman got most of his dally m points? Be interesting to see if they were with or without Foran

Another difference between Foran and Sandow is that Sandow was never our captain. Never expected to take on the mantle of role model and leader like Foran was. Also, this talk of Sandow's sub-standard defense being his main issue ..... it wasn't. His main issue was that his attack was way too erratic. He couldn't maintain a game plan. For all the wonderful tries he scored or set up, there were at least as many that he killed by taking the wrong option.

As I have said for the second time in this thread, I was critical of Jarryd when he left for the NFL. More the timing than anything else. However whilst he was with us I never once saw him not being committed both on and off the field. He was our best player, our most marketable player and I would have him back in a heartbeat and swap him for any player in our squad if it came down to that. You think we wouldn't be a better side with him in this one?
