FMD I'm not a superstitious merkin, but retiring the No.7 jumper must be considered. It's f**king cursed.

Either that or we need Father Merrin from the Exorcist to wave his cross about and flick holy water over it.

IF this is true (a DT article that doesn't quote anyone involved is hardly gospel). I am bitterly disappointed.

I realise he needs to sort himself out, and I hope he does, but if he is playing for another team next year, I will be angry. It's not like he doesn't have time now to do it, and be able to stay with us.

But if he wants to go, then it's not like we can stop him. I'm just really disappointed.

"The Parramatta Eels have not received a request from Kieran Foran's management regarding a release from his contract.

Kieran’s welfare is the club’s primary concern and the Eels will continue to offer him all the resources available to aid in his recovery.

The club will be making no further comment on the matter. "

Player welfare comes first, this is a good result.

Unless he has breached I assume we are paying Foran for this season, as he sustained a shiulder injury on the job that requires care. If he has walked away/retired, then he would likely forfeit next year's salary (which with family wealth he doesn't need) and his option for the following two years.

Foran is free to move on and we are free to replace him - best for both parties considering the life events he has faced this year, and needs to recover from. Best of luck to Keiran and to the club in replacing him.

Best to get his sh*t together, take a break from the game and if he wants to come back, then I hope he's 100%. Its obvious he's not focused on league at the moment, even if he's trying to focus on it to distract him from off field issues. If or when he comes back to Parra, good. But if he goes to another club, in the middle of his contract, which I don't think will happen, then sh*t is definitely gonna hit the fan. But for now Mr Foran don't worry about Rugby League, family comes first.

I hope he sorts out his problems and lives to 100 but he was the worst buy in our history.

In future when people suggest a possible future outcome maybe take a breath and consider it may have substance and not go on the attack and suggest it's bullshit or demand sources.
