And if our club does not loose points?

Then they get credit for:

- not losing the points;
- the massive improvements that have been made operationally and to governance since the mass debacles.

But they don't get a free ride for the massive, basic and embarrassing f**kups that have happened.

And losing points will be unforgivable. So I'm
Not copping the ready made excuses people are trotting out.

It's not an nrl conspiracy. It's not a Fitzgerald / spagnolo comspiracy.

They've been woeful, and then they've been hugely improved.

Don't get me wrong. I hope we avoid the points and they stay.

But if we don't the buck has to finally stop with them because they've been basically begging the nrl to do it.

LOL, simple version.

1. Google "Scorecube"
2. Look at 3rd Google Link (ScoreCube - BlackCitrus)
www.blackcitrus.com.au/portfolio-our-work/scorecube
3. Click on link and scroll down
4. View Parra Eels logo
5. Sign Stat Dec stating NO relationship.

= Salary Cap breach

Simpler version

Scorecube pty ltd

Blackcitrus pty ltd

I am even more confused..... So is ford not allowed to give TPA's to any roosters player but they can to a Parra player?
If the club did not arrange it how is it any different.
What about players on the footy show - Do they get paid? Whats the deal there?

Only the players contracted to 9 (on TPAs get paid) - so Thurston, Slater, Thaiday and a few others, think Moylan is one.

The are never in their club colours when on the show live (as they can't be if they don't want their fee to go on the cap)

I haven't watched the footy show once this year. Has James Maloney been on since he joined the Sharks?????

You do understand that some companies are wholly owned (or otherwise controlled) subsidiaries of other companies? Have a look at most listed companies in the world....within the consolidated group there are often dozens (hundreds) of separate legal entities.

If you could get around the TPA rules by simply interposing a separate legal entity, for the cost of $800 registration every player in the comp could have a TPA from a TP directly associated with the club.

I don't think anyone would want the current board to remain if we lose points. What many fear thou, is who actually replaces them.

If Gyngell is on the board on the Roosters, wouldn't the TPA for Maloney , SBW, Mini performing on Channel Nein etc be a conflict. Just wondering, seems its not one size fits all

I'm sure it was an arms length deal for the roosters players....

Agreed, but the rule is "related entity".
Pay ASIC $19 and find out that one is owned by the other.

What came first though?

Watmough's TPA or the IT work?

How do you/we know that the people making the decisions were away of the subsidiaries?

The problem there is that every company in the world is ultimately owned by Halliburton.

here's a challenge for you and assuming that the decision will be handed down before the next AGM i dare you to tell the members in the auditorium to calm down.. we got dis!

I'd love to see the reaction...
Think I'll leave that job to Sharpie thanks, since he's the one paid the "big bucks" to do just that ;-).

I can imagine the brainiacs at the AGM, frothing at the mouth and getting all steamed up over the drama though...

And so it would come down to the veracity of the stat dec (or other similar document) that the NRL makes the club sign and lodge in relation to each TPA.

Does that document put the onus on the club to do a ASIC search to determine if a TP provider is related to any of the entity with which the club deals? If not, then... the forensic search of our records must be trying to build a case that the person who signed that document (under wording such as "to the club's best knowledge the TP provider is not a related entity") was lying.

If the NRL find any emails, mobile texts or call records etc that can prove that particular signatory had knowledge of a relationship between the two companies in question, then they might indeed to be able to proceed to indicate that signatory (whoever it was) knowing breeched the cap rules. Will that result in a fine, a four point deduction, more - who knows? Will the NRL's search for a needle in a haystack turn up anything - who knows?

And what impact that then has for the whole Board etc is debatable imo.... but watch the media hype and forum drama skyrocket regardless  Let's all just get on with supporting the footy team, huh?

Stop talking sense eels_fan, don't you know we have to follow the destabilisers' agenda and use this to blindly run down the current Board?

Well he gave himself the big bucks without the members permission maybe he can let you chair the meeting without the members permission too??

At least we can put the pitch forks that you and your mates have used in the past to good use..

Haha..

My point is, if the Communications/IT manager at the club is the one organising for the IT work to be done, how is he in his scope of duties be expected to know who the subsidiaries are of the company he/she is dealing with? And even more so, how is he/she expected to know which players in our NRL squad have TPAs and who they are with? I don't imagine there is a big list on the wall of the leagues club office that lists every TPA for every player like a phone listing for a cross reference...
