Just out of interest, why is that Moss merkin being more hands on a good thing again?

Isn't it Moss merkin's merkin son who is director of the merkin companies behind the Watmerkin issue?

There are a lot of positives that can come from this. -2 or -4 points plus a corporate restructure which stonewalls both Spags and Fitzy would be wonderful. Maybe even that Moss merkin being more hands on.

It could however just make the shit storm far worse that we have ever known it to be. Hence why the NRL need to be clever when they bring about change.

How's this for a scenario..

NRL threatens 10 points if the board does not step down, board steps down resulting in no point penalty.

We now need to elect a new board, Fitzy selflessly declares he's willing to run for the board, but no one else stands because who wants to be vilified in the media.

Fitzy + 6 stooges/puppets run unopposed, Fitzy wins election by default and is now in charge of the club with zero opposition to stop him from making any changes he wishes.

Nightmare.

If we are docked 4 points, it could just be the best thing that happens to the side. They may just lift and take on a seige mentality and get on a massive roll !!

Obviously we don't want to lose points but.

Could go the other way and deflate the boys. Just like we've been deflated.

Once you get Poused, I don't think you can get unPoused. That shit'd be forever

Thanks, I've fixed the spelling mistake, dammit..

I don't even want to think about what getting "Poused" would be like... *shudder*

how good would it be, the NRL takes 6pts off us, we still make the finals and go and win the whole thing.
Eels lose points from past year salary cap issues and still win the premiership with a salary cap complaint team, first team to win premiership from 7th postion.

Doesn't anyone know how TPA's work in a standard NRL contract? Are the written in as information but not included in the cap?

We hear a lot that the player knows nothing but aren't they signing stuff? And if it is their manager, how would they not know?

Wouldn't it be easier to have all salary to be paid to an employee in one document? You know, completely transparent? Have an appendix to the contract with all non salary cap payments being made that the NRL need to know about. Easy to refer back to and easy to audit. If a player gets a payment not from one of the people on the document then someone is in shit but no one can claim they didn't know!

Probably most players are illiterate

Primarily is his desire to privatise the club, which personally i do not believe in.

Seemed to work well for Souths..

But then not so good for the Knights..

There are so many things that need to be right (has to be the right owner that is fully committed to the team long term, with deeeeeeep pockets).

I tend to agree with MJC, that successful privatisation is a lightning strike situation, and probably not a good idea.

It would stop all the faction garbage though, that is one positive..

Unless he has character traits which are counter productive to having him involved in the club, his resume reads like he is the sugar daddy that every club dreams about.

You tell me, what are the negatives about him being more involved ?

LOLLLLLLLLL No offence to you bro but in the private, we now have hands on records of more than 400 Australian families being treated the way our family was treated while under his watch. We are confident in saying it's jut the tip of the iceberg. But hey, nothing to worry about. Lets get back to our beloved Eels team effort both on and off the field. All is good. :D
