I was actually at the Club on Saturday after the game... if cheap buckets of beer and RTD's in a function room is a "cocktail party", you people out in the West of Sydney need to get out more.

Still laughing at some in the media who think we will be playing for no points this year. Must be shitting themselves that we might knock their teams out of the finals.

And dealt with, and we have a suspended 4 point penalty if we breach this years cap.
Watmough's retirement is going to make that tricky.

Have we any evidence of wrongdoing apart from that?

I feel like there may be no conclusive evidence, but the end result will be "what the heck, the media went bonkers, take 4 points away" :(

I may be wearing blue & gold glasses, this is how I feel too. I still think this is a fishing exercise by the leaker/s & paper media. Most audits will pick up lots of minor, often impractical shit that the entity has done. It's how we ended up getting 100 odd recommendations. But it's also more the perception of deceit rather than the total dollars. Then it gets sensationalised and Joe Bogan doesn't actually understand and doesn't read past the flashy headline, and the NRL in it's brilliant reactionary way will probably unsuspend the previous penalty to appease everyone (in the media).

Were you walking around telling everyone you were Steve Sharp and that someone was paying the media?

No I wasn't.

Actually I do have to say, the Parra Leagues Club is a pretty impressive modern venue. The Clubs here in Canberra already dominate and haven't modernised themselves in 20 years and are designed predominantly as a gambling venue and a place to eat cheap shitty food. The Raiders have multiple venues, but you would be flat out knowing that they have anything to do with a football team in the NRL in any of them, whereas the Parra club the Football Club is everywhere to be seen. As I said, it's impressive.

Raaaay just said that there was cocktail party on Sat hosted by Tranny & Caylo.

He said that a Director was telling pple that:-

1. Former merkins were paying the media $200k to leak and discredit the club. Raaaay said that the certain Director "needs to be put in a straight jacket".

2. The same Director was telling people that he had spoken to Greenburg and that so far they have only found a few infractions and that we are sweet. Raaay of course was spitting blood about this. Reckons that he spoke to Todd and that Todd's position is that the investigation is ongoing.

Paying the media? Ray might be right about the straight jacket.

Cocktail Party? Lol. I saw all of these merkins in the firehouse a couple of hours after the game. Our chairman and other board members were in attendance. I was particularly surprised to see the former emperor Dennis was also there.

Was he mingling/speaking with Sharp and Co?

Not that I saw, but I found it strange they would be in the same room together.

Wasn't there a story last week that they were both in the same corporate box? Perhaps Sharp is a bigger man than he's been given credit so far.

Apparently they were in the same box for the Penrith game last week. It would be nice if they could all put aside their fuc*ing differences and put their minds together for good use

I thought the current board set up the 'Panama papers incidents'. If those power hungry mongrels would only step down they could save the jobs of world leaders from all around the globe.

“There’s a whisper around that the NRL are starting to soften on their stance about Parramatta’s points,” Kent said.
“I have a real problem with that.”

lol

what will he write about now if we don't lose any points
