Well it served a purpose, we saved 250K - lol ... hopefully it got even more than that
Not much point going through with an appeal to get your For and Against back when your running 14th.
IIRC it was more about the fine being excessive.Exactly.
Yeah not suss in the slightest...Ironically, withdrawing the appeal for the thing we were appealing, got us what we were mostly appealing about in the first place (the $250k...)
I assume with the appeal being dropped we finally recieve clarity on our cap for next year. No surprises (if true) this happens after titans snare Hayne. I guess we'll start seeing confirmation of signings and re-signings over the next day or two.
Will be interesting to see if we have made any signings. The only player we currently have un-signed that I'd re-sign is Norman, outside of that I'm not fussed what happens with the rest.
What would the purpose of your appeal be? One of the issues we were appealing against it appears the NRL is going to give to us anyway ($250k).
The other thing we were appealing against is for and against. What kind of evidence do you think we would have to provide to appeal this? Nothing that went in the breach notice could even be used in this appeal.
The purpose of your appeal would be useless for the reasons that you want to appeal. The information you want to come out will not come out as a result appealing for and against.
It wouldn't have mattered what we were looking to get back.
The true result would have been a finding from an independant former High Court judge that the process was not fair - that Greenburg should have recused himself, that he was not fit to judge statements from Seward, that Seward made self-incriminating statements knowing he could not be punished and therefore using them as a weapon against us, and in general that the whole was basically as dodgy as f**k.
We get our differential back? Who cares? But now there's something to build a story around in regards to Seward and Greenburg...now THAT is a result.
And the Segment as well???I read they pulled it
Wishful thinking. It wouldn't have mattered what we were looking to get back.

No, just their wangs. And the Segment as well???
Well that unsurprising. No, just their wangs.

doesn't he just get a report at the end then make a determination based on the investigation report?I doubt that Greenburg was even involved in the process. It would have been Nick Weeks and the integrity unit doing all the interviewing and investigating - not Greenburg.
