Eels seeking permission to cheat salary cap...

The ARLC told the clubs to work with a $5 million cap. Fair enough yeah?

I can understand confusion. But your first mistake is coming here and expecting accurate information.

The only one here who is to blame I Isaac Moses. Folau, Parra and eventually the ARLC agreed to the deal. Folau just got greedy. We were a fallback option.

Cheers for that. All i needed to know.

Ricky Stuart being sad makes me happy.

Besides the comp doesn't need him. And as for the Eels, an outside back would not make the difference. They've been saved from themselves.

Good to see you keep your hypocritical f*ckwit rating up at all time high levels. There was a time quite recently when your mob signed a big name outside back to join your rabble - and no one expected him to make the difference either.

Just watched a Foxtel clip where Russel Fairfax stated that both Mattiske and Edwards were certain a deal would be reached. If that's the case all he had to do was, in fact, wait for it to be sorted out.

He's chased the coin.

He's as loyal as the town bike.

You're really an expert on what I would do in a hypothetical situation? You are like those people saying "f*ck him" who would all welcome him at their club.

I cannot recall a player and a club agreeing to a price, and the NRL saying "I think he's worth more"!

Can you?

Well its all moot now, apparently there was a deal but the greedy brainwashed kent knocked it back.

His body is for sale because he clearly can't think for himself.

It's good that Parra fans are finally catching up with what everyone else has been saying for the last few weeks.
A few of us weren't fussed either way, thank f**k we didn't sign the Merkin. He's all about the coin and always has been. Hopefully the Merkin is banned for good.

Except he was leaving to accept a lot less than his GWS contract, so no one honestly say that until today.

If you keep picking the same number horse, you'll eventually land a winner.

Side not - who is forgetting that Queensland missed out too?

Eels should be happy they dodged a bullet. Wasting cap on a centre with that team was always a dumb move.

Nice spin, mate.

I've been saying that he whored himself out to the AFL in almost all of my posts on the subject.

Do you honestly think that he decided on his own to leave the AFL?

They got rid of him when his marketing value wore off and he started getting in the way. But make no mistake his people made sure they got every cent he was owed.

Now he had a choice between the Eels or more money in a 2nd grade rugby comp, he chose the latter.

He knows what he wants.

For me, the most disappointing thing about it all has been how my club acted. After years of incompetence from a questionably-abled CEO in Osborne and a string of average coaches, we hire Stuart (for all his issues, he is a man of confidence and leadership) and Edwards to lead us into a new era. I was hoping we would finally begin to act as a professional club with these two at the helm.

Sadly, though...

Can we strike a red line through the career of Israel Falou? One would hope all future CEO's who he approaches (and he willl, looking for that million dollar deal) have a firm thanks but no thanks response to him (frankly if they want to say worse, I'd be cool with that too).
